Only just Greece, and with a twist?
So straddling one of its borders with an adjoining country perhaps?
It's very much like the area in the south west of Turkey, the dusty red tinge to the rocks. Can't see what the scrubby plants are. Draw a line between Izmir and Antalya and we're somewhere around there. So straddling one of its borders with an adjoining country perhaps?
I don't think we're on a land border. The mainland has more vegetation, this is more likely to be a small island, probably uninhabited. Far too seaswept to be mainland.
I can see a bloody big spooky face in that cliff, almost as if Zeus is looming out of the rocks.
I can't see this one being resolved.... apologies, but you are pretty good and close in zero-ing in.
It is a bay just on the south side of the town of Symi on the Island of Symi. A stones through from the coast of Turkey.
Very tempting as we did to pop across , but such is the loathing between the Turks and Greeks, one should really go through all the paperwork to enter / leave.
It is here :
Agiou Georgiou bay

Apparently used in the Guns of Navarone as guessed.
A stunning location with heat bouncing off the walls in to gin clear water.

Definitely, it's the sleuthing part based on clues within the pictures that makes it so much fun. The ducks is a good example, look at the cars parked, the scenery, then finer details such as building design and the fact those cobbles are New York granite, and I can safely say we're on the eastern seaboard USA, in or around New York.
Allow pictures to run for a bit longer, the Greek island one would have been bagged; having it narrowed down to the Dodecanese, eventually people give random guesses until someone scores.
Google is banned, but if you get frustrated and end up googling an image then simply withdraw from the guessing.
If all else fails, the answer is New Zealand.

...remembering that South Africa's the new New Zealand.Allow pictures to run for a bit longer, the Greek island one would have been bagged; having it narrowed down to the Dodecanese, eventually people give random guesses until someone scores.

I'm a lot further North than that, and Eastwards, too.
I seem to remember a hotel famous for its ducks, which I thought was in Florida - is it to do with that?Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
