Perfect autumn weather for the last couple of days.
Not really had any stunning food, but there is a small row of bars nr the veg/fish market all serving very edible small plates and decent wine. nice sqaure directly on the frand canal but reasonably quite.
Majer gets a double thumbs up receommendation - almost cheap, nice wine and spritz and the cakes are really very very nice. As are the rice balls.
Going to give it a go for dinner.
Got to say, I love Venice - despite all the rip off joints and negatives it's a very relaxing place.
As I've mentioned before, try here if the budget allows: Trattoria ai Cacciatori Fondamenta Ponte Piccolo, 320, 30133 Sestiere Giudecca and Not really had any stunning food, but there is a small row of bars nr the veg/fish market all serving very edible small plates and decent wine. nice sqaure directly on the frand canal but reasonably quite.

Suso ice cream Calle della Bissa, 5453, 30124 San Marco,is the best ice cream I've had anywhere in the world. And I've had a lot of ice cream in a lot of places.
