I suppose it depends on how long you go away for, but as the other poster has said, not even sure you can get all inclusive in Vegas?!

I did 2 weeks in California last year, and did room only all the way.

Im not worried about all in but would have liked half board at least as during the day you will be out anyway so a evening meal and then out for some drinks or walkabout

You won't get half board in Vegas....in fact you won't get any board (certainly not at any of the Strip hotels). As you can freely move between casinos in the hotels, full board would be impractical due to the sheer size of the places. I've been room only on all trips I've made to Vegas (anywhere up to 3 weeks) and like previous poster/s have said....there's plenty of choices (buffets, food courts etc)

Not aware of any options in Vegas other than 'room only'. None of the hotels/casinos have a single 'dining room'; all have a variety of eatries from cafes, fast food and buffets through to world-class gourmet restaurants. You can eat real cheap at the food court in fashion show mall, or spend $500 for two for a meal at the Wynn - done both in my time. You can spent pretty much whatever you want on food (and drink).

It's america. You can spend as much as you want to. Some of the buffets are amazing, some less so, none of them are particularly expensive (the MGM Grand's is great) there's fine dining, burger joints, you name it. Going for the 3rd time in a few weeks, never had anything other than room only. Room service has never been too expensive either FWIW.

A tip I once read about Vegas was to see what conventions are on and book somewhere under their convention rate. I'm pretty sure that no cross-referencing or checking is done, you just turn up and check in as normal. I don't know if the con rates are actually any lower than tourist deals though, but I suspect they are.

dont go worrying about meals in usa , its not like here theres resturants and takeaways every few steps

for vegas you might like the buffets , the cheapo ones will be impressive and the dearer ones amazing , you pay at the door and eat until you cant walk lol , pretty much every hotel will have one along with loads of other options

if you dont want to spend much , burger places are the same as here but in dollars and you get more , and most have some kind of $1 special offer on , make a trip to a local supermarket and pick up some soft drinks for cheap

If ever there is a place on earth where you can get any food any time of the day or night for any budget you like Vegas is it. Don't worry at all. You can go from $5 buffets to Michelin star restaurants in the space of a hotel....

Stay at the Hooters resort, it's only about $25/night during the week, rising to a heady $80/night at weekends, or Excalibur which is slightly more expensive during the week at $35, but around the same at weekends. Neither are particularly glamorous when compared to The Venetian or Wynn, but are clean and comfortable.

Food in Vegas is as cheap or expensive as you want it to be. There are the likes of Denny's where you can have a main meal for under $10, and I can recommend The Peppercorn at the Sahara end of the strip for breakfast, which serves massive portions [15 egg omelette anybody?] for reasonable prices.

My parents went to Las Vegas a couple of years ago and stayed in one of those self-catering things; bearing in mind I get my tight-fistedness from them, they didn't complain about prices.

Bills Gambling Hall and Saloon is pretty much the cheapest hotel on the strip - its not fancy, but is small and right in the middle of the action (no 15 minute walk to your room). Stay here for cheapness (you'll save cab money from staying off the strip).

Palms is amazing for nightlife though, but is more expensive and off the strip.

For $45 or something you can get a wristband for unlimited buffets for a day (at about 8 restaurants).

If you stay away from gambling (well, losing) and have a few drinks in your hotel room, then Vegas really isn't too expensive. Nightclubs can be silly to get into, but again 'wristbands' are available. I've no idea about the other bits (shows and stuff) as we just partied fairly agressively.

OP: Hotels in Vegas are not 'hotels' as you and I would know them. They are gigantic and vast theme park cities with bedrooms upstairs. The idea is to visit all these wondrous DisneyLands for Adults, marvel at their size, go to their shows, eat at their hundreds of restaurants, and then lose all your money at any one of their thousands of slot machines and black jack tables.

au contraire, do get a seat in the front. Being fed strawberries wasn't alltogether unpleasant, and the missus liked the show too smile No point being a shrinking violet in the cheap seats - you need to be part of it.

The alternative is to walk in, go straight to the big money tables and change up a couple of $100k.

You'll be being offered complimentary Suites drinks and steaks.

Play with your brain and you'll lose less than the cost of the freebies befor you change down again.

Play smart and you'll make a profit.

Play drunk and you'll come back to find your house repo'd hehe

High risk, sure, but think of the fun hehe
