Hi,

Have some relatives that are going too Vegas for a holiday and I was after getting them some show tickets or concert ones.

Where is the best place to sort these and what would people recommend booking?

I see that elton John is playing, they are not big fans but wondering if that would be a decent night out???

Thanks in advance :-)

Concierge at hotel has always been my preferred option. We were there for a week in May and the concierge got us tickets for 3 shows at or less than face value.

Just walk down any street and 25 people will offer you show tickets! We booked before we got there but concierges will be able to get you almost anything. I'd recommend Cirque du Soleil.

We saw Blue Man Group. I wasn't keen to go, but it was an absolutely fantastic show. Just don't sit in the front few rows.....

I would also recommend this approach, concierge at our hotel got us a great deal on the viva Elvis show, basic priced tickets but where upgraded to the most expensive ones.

Definitely concierge at hotel,They seem to keep some good seats back for each other hotels/shows.
They will show you where you are sitting on a planner, so you can pick best available,
Usually works best if you greet them by shaking their hand on arrival with a $10 or $20 bill.

Blue man group make sure you sit in the front few rows biggrin

I've been to see Elton John in Vegas this year, and I really enjoyed it.Really good acoustics in a nice comfortable theatre.
Probably suited to a more mature crowd,(I'm 45)but he played lots of his hits, and most people were singing and dancing along.
The only other show I've seen in Vegas is 'O' which was good, but standard cirque d'soleil fair.

Hi,

Not sure how it works booking tickets for them... Would I need to be there to collect tickets with my credit card?

I got my tickets comped by my casino host, and I just picked them up at the box office 15 minutes before show start.
I would contact the box office, and see how they do things.I guess if the tickets are paid for, they just need the name that is going to be collecting them.

I have used the smartervegas.com website in the past - they have some discounts on the longer running shows.

As noted above, the Elton John show is superb. I saw the old one (Red Piano) but I'm sure the current one (Million Dollar Piano) is just as good.

For me Love and Mystere are the two best Cirque shows, Mystere is the oldest, so it should be easy to get cheap tickets. Even if you are only a casual fan of the Beatles, Love is worth going to.

Absynthe a sort of demented circus show at Ceasars is well worth a visit, and for an old style Vegas showgirls show I think only Jubilee at Bally's is left. It's easy to get two for one tickets etc for that. It's a little dated these days and tame, but good fun..

I've seen EJ albeit in London, and it was very good. Even better was "O" at the Bellagio....brilliant. If it's still on, I recommend it.
