The National Corvette Museum is great!
www.corvettemuseum.org
They have a regularly changing display of Corvettes as a lot of the cars are loaned by owners usually for 1 year at a time. They have themed displays like a 1950's garage, they also feature racing vettes and prototypes etc.
The Skydome (the bit were they had the sinkhole) displays loads of cars and also features posters of all of the Museum Hall of Fame inductees.
There is a 1950's style cafe onsite plus a great gift shop.
The Museum recently opened the Motorsports Park

Which is 1/2 a mile down the road from the museum and depending on the day of your visit there maybe an event going on.
I did a two day high performance driving event there a few weeks back in my 2016 C7 Z06 and the track is demanding and great fun to drive. Best lap posted here:

As you know the museum do the bookings now for the factory tour. Remember to wear closed toe shoes! No flip flops or sandals!

Not much to add to what's already been said.
I live fairly close to it so I've dragged a begrudging wifey down there a couple of times.
I love the museum and cafe. The factory tour was OK, I suppose it depends what you're into. I worked at a car plant in my youth and spend more than enough work days bobbing around factories, so it wasn't something I was especially invested in, but it's definitely worth a look.
The motorsports park I'd consider a must do.
