Recommendations needed for sharm el sheikh

Looking to book 2 weeks in sharm el sheikh.

Want 5* for and been looking at both the Ritz Carlton and the Stella Di Mare.

Has anyone got any experience of going to either of these?

Thanks for that. It has been years since I was last in Naama Bay. It was good back then (11 years ago).

Has it really got that bad?

My problem is tht i will be going with someone who definitely doesn't want to just stay in the hotel the whole time and have the option of popping out most days/evenings even if it's just for a drink or some food.

I originally was looking at Soma bay and El Gouna, but been advised against it as there will be hardly anything to do where as Sharm has the go karting tracks, soho square, camel divers bar etc...

A bit stuck as to where to go if sharm is really that bad
