Sri Lanka Tour

We are going to Sri Lanka in September and doing a tour of 5 areas.

Mount Lavinia 1 day
Habarana 2 days
Kandy 2 days
Nuwara Eliya 1 day
Aluthgama 8 days

I've searched all the usual places for info and wondered if the travellers here had any must dos or must don'ts!

Am I really going to have curry for breakfast lunch and evening meal?

We spend our last 8 days at Club Bentota in Aluthgama, hopefully relaxing after a hectic run round the interior. We have a car with driver which might be less fun but hopefully he will be knowledgable and become our guide as well.

In Kandy today. The driving is the most amazing experience. He who dares and all that. In the countryside they obviously don't see too many tourists and we have become very popular which is actually very entertaining.

Tea factory tomorrow. I have had some wonderful tea whilst here so high hopes for this one.

The stout wouldn't be my usual tipple but at 8.8% we will be having another.

We leave earls regency in the morning hopefully before the england cricket team arrive and drive upto the tea factory hotel. We already spotted the temp difference so have packed warm clothes. The mission sounds interesting.

Just got back from a curry house in Kandy. Not like ours are they!
