Chateau or similar, Northern France
Discussion
Looking to get away for a week (ish) within a couple of hours of the Chunnel, late Aug or early Sep. Just me & MrsC, and we just want peace, quiet and relaxation. Preferably a pool, and a restaurant so we don't have to go out if we don't want to.
Location-wise, we need to be able to get back to the UK fairly quickly if necessary, so let's say north of a line from Le Havre to Reims.
We're not lottery winners but we're happy to pay for a reasonable level of comfort and luxury.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks all, really useful.
@Shentodj, your link brings up a list - top one?
@964Cip, looks perfect but n/a on our (current) dates
@littlebasher - also looks excellent and possibly available, slightly further than we wanted to go but probably worth the extra travel!
@NDA - is Canisy B&B only? Don't really want to have to be going out in the evening too much?

Personally, I love the Assiette Champenoise in Reims (Tinqueux actually) but as he's just got his 3rd star I'm sure M. Lallements prices have gone up accordingly
That does look fabulous, but at 545EUR/night for the room and the set dinner menu at 138EUR pp on top, I think I'll wait until I have a matching pair of PH directorships before I go there to celebrate!Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
