Dubai again...hotel with beach advice needed.
Discussion
I know Dubai gets mentioned a lot on here and i pass through regularly albeit at night for no more than 24 hours to fly off to places not so relaxing!
But promised SWMBO a few nights in Dubai when i come back to the UK in Oct. Ill fy her out Emirates Business, meet up, hotel for few nights then fly back to UK together...Economy!
But she wants sun (tick), bit of shopping (Mall-tick) and beach to lie on within the hotel (this bit i want some pointers).
As with Dubai its all about budget so forget the Burj or Atlantis and im a tight-arse!
Want something that comes across a pretty impressive but doesnt take away too much fuel money from my Aston!
Been looking at Royal Meridien, Sheraton Jumeirah and the Hilton at the moment.
Any Dubai experts want to advise? Cheers in advance.

To be fair LRM was becoming my first choice.
When i stay over i stay in the Meridien by the airport. Pleasent enough and as part of the same group LRM seemed the logical upgrade.
I've got a ghood price for the flights for her but need to book in the next few days so ill make choice soon.

Looking at the Booking.com reviews of LRM they seem positive. They did mention the works going on but that's around Dubai everywhere at the moment when I went through the other day.
Majority of the negatives seem to be from locals staying there which they always seem to be spoilt in what they have and pick up on anything.

Well I have enquired with the LRM as I also should get Government Rates there. Looking at the build work nearby ill ask for the furthest away room hopefully but to be fair I work on an airbase which comes alive at night so anything will be peace compared to that!
But still leaving options open as I have time.

Update....booked LRM. Other half flies out Emirates Business and driven to Hotel.
I fly to Dubai a day later for about the same price, on a 2 hour flight on FlyDubai and ill get a taxi....go figure!
Oh well, she is happy and I stop her moaning for at least another 12 months "its ok for you, you work in the sun all the time"!!
Majority of the work should have finished by Oct but the hotel next door will still be underway but not too bothered about that. Cheers for advice.
