I was on a flight last week from Castle Donington and noticed a safety issue with the aircraft.
Despite writing twice and many attempts to contact via Live Chat I'm unable to tell Ryanair about this potential safety issue.

Should I forget it or keep trying for a response?

Really ! Excuse me steward / stewardess, this belt appears to be broken.

Job done.
Did that, but so many other things went wrong that I didn't trust the cabin steward

Behave. Really? What if it had broken two minutes before you spotted it? How could they foreseen or prevented it? Would you have been happy if the flight had been grounded or diverted in order to sort it?!

It'll have been replaced or repaired already.

Whatever you think of Ryanair/O'leary they are bound by the CAA and do things properly.

The frayed and incorrectly fitted belt appeared to have been that way for a while. If it had been a car, it would have failed it's MOT.

What's even more important I suppose is the crews reaction to safety issues.

Yes a faulty belt is not going to cause the plane to fall out of the sky - it is however weakening perceived passenger safety in a very visible way.
Yes, I agree...

I sit in the front for a living and we always wear our seatbelts even on the long flights. It amazes me how many people actually walk around when the seat belt sign is on whilst being a passenger. I'm also very surprised how many people actually get out of there seat whilst taxiing on the ground - those brakes do work and sometimes baggage trucks do not stop for us which means a quick jam of the brakes to avoid collision.

Back to OP post, I would have mentioned it to the cabin crew and they would have blocked the seat having spoken to the engineer it was severe enough.
Thanks for you input.

I did mention it to a member of the crew. I'm not trusting enough to think that he would remember, so I decided to contact the airline to ease my mind that it would be investigated.

They've acknowledged my comment but have yet to tell me of the outcome.
