With my trip to the Ring in November now cancelled for the 3rd time this year (due to having to quarantine to Germany upon arrival) I am looking for a last minute plan. I have put off selling my 2017 M6 as I really wanted to take it to the Ring, but will probably now just sell as it looks unlikely until probably spring 2021.

So, with some time booked off work I am looking for somewhere to go for 2 nights with some good driving roads & scenery which will be quiet. I am based in midlands.

Can't go to Wales due to restrictions
Don't want to go to Scotland, did NC500 in July
Have a Eurotunnel ticket still for 14-16 November, but don't think there is anywhere where quarantine is not required either outbound or inbound.

Thinking possibly Northumberland or Lake District. Any other recommendations?

Depending on where you're starting these might work as two short (but demanding) days with an overnight and commutes to/from whereever you're starting?

Day 1

Day 2

These routes includes some properly spectacular roads, 95% two lane A- and B-roads but some maybe a little narrow and bumpy for your M6?

Ooo I like that route. Any recommended places to stay near the finish?
