For fear of receiving an obvious response, why? From what I've read, traffic is organised well on race days.
I have been several times and the traffic is far from organised, especially on race day. You will have to leave the city centre at 4am to have any chance to see any of the races.rdjohn said:
If you want somewhere menorable then my suggestion is https://www.canallabistro.com/en/
Its owned by a local Michelin starred chef and I guess it is where he trains his staff and the pallates of his future customers. It is a fun place to eat and relatively inexpensive.
Not suitable if you only want pints and paella.

I may have to consider the train, in that case! Thankfully, I'm staying in the city centre so it should be easy.
The train form the main station will make it a doddle. You can buy all three days train tickets in advance.

We're off for a long weekend to the MotoGP and staying in the town centre -- we'll have a car too. Basically, we'd love to sample a variety of paella and other local cuisine. Suggestions welcomed (and any other hints and tips).
The goto place for Paella in Valencia is La Pepica - it's at the beach though. Sunday lunchtime is the time go - book a table for around 2pm.It’s a superb city, really impressive, some very interesting modern architecture on a vast scale down towards the sea. Also lots of great food - You will love it, it’s a great place

However, I've parked near the exit, having plotted a swift departure from within the car park. The first arrivals are marshalled to the ends closest to the entrance, surely a negative when leaving?

Forget the food, how's the circuit
Fantastic. From the green stand at the top end of the circuit, I can follow any rider that I wish around the entire track. It's a condensed track within a basin, or amphitheatre -- not unlike Mugello, but on a much smaller scale. It feels good to be here, there's a pleasant atmosphere, though the food is nowhere near to what the Italians drum up with porchetta etc.
