Alps and Germany road trip

Hi all looking for some advise a few of us are looking to do a road trip to the alps and Germany. It seems the French have the closest alps so was originally going to drive through France. But not sure weather to go Austrian alps instead. At least this way we would mostly be driving in Germany (autobahn😁) idea was alps first then black forest and on to Nuremberg (the ring) looking to do about 4-5 days

Thanks for your reply’s we all live south east london area and I was thinking of getting the furthest destination done first. Then make our way back towards Black Forest and then on to the ring. Just didn’t know what would be the best and possibly shortest distance to the alps. Properly looking to go in June time as most alps roads don’t open until then.
