How about the "Think Tank" which used to be the science museum.....educational and they also have an Imex cinema.

Cheers,

Tony
forgot about that... i studied at the uni there aswell

not sure how they'll react to imax.. we generally dont watch much tv, and as such they have a low attention span for it ( films included )

I have the same problem most weekends.

Some of the places we go -

http://www.hoofarm.com/

If you time it right you can go round slowly and do the activities, feed the lambs etc.

http://www.junglelandtelford.com/

Decent sized indoor play area. Always get a seat, don't mind parents going on the play equipment.

http://www.wonderlandtelford.com/

Worth going to on a dry day. Kids spend ages going on the "free" rides.

http://www.amertonfarm.co.uk/

Proper play barn, animals and a few shops (local real ale in bottles)

http://www.thomaslanduk.co.uk/

Special day out. - they were doing a parent and toddler special for £14 in term times last year - they don't advertise it though.

http://www.parkhallfarm.co.uk/

Good mix of animals, a few classic cars, tractor ride, play barn + driving experience (3 probably a bit young)

http://www.wmsp.co.uk

West Mids Safari Park. We normally have a quick whizz round the animals and head for the rides in cubs kingdom.

http://www.svr.co.uk/

The full trip is a bit long so we parked up at Hampton Loade, got the train to Bridgnorth for a bite to eat and a trip up and down the cliff railway.

http://www.altontowers.com/pages/water-park

Great fun if your kids like the water.

But last week we spent 3 hours sat next to a river in Wales - my lad was happy throwing stones in the water.
big list.. having a click through now.

i know what you mean about just chilling and having a lazy day. i love going to the fields in the park and just letting em run free. find it more enjoyable than the jungle gyms, and they get to catch random insects to show me smile
