Barbados / Antigua - what's the nightlife like??

I'm planning to go to Barbados or Antigua at the end of April - is that a good time of year?

Also, I want fantastic hot beaches, great hotels and service, but also a lively nightlife (classy bars/clubs) with no larger louts/ chavs!

All advice appreciated!! Any other recommended destinations?

I think I'll just save up a bit more and go to the Seychelles/ Maldives in May/ June instead!!
