Would appreciate all serious responses.
How do you cope seeing a (very recent) long term ex with a new fella...? It's a pretty st feeling!
1] At some point, he's probably going to bump into the same st you probably did. How do you cope seeing a (very recent) long term ex with a new fella...? It's a pretty st feeling!
2] Bump into ex next time with better replacement (if jealousy inducing, so much better).
3] Double British stiff upper lip & extra swagger (regardless of what's going on underneath)?
Take your pick.
I share DukeDickson's opinion in part one. In fact, I've just mailed ex-to-be about her whingeing about work I've carried out at our joint business. In future, she can get the work done and if it's valid, I'll share in paying for it. She can see how she goes on, bleating at someone else every other day.
However, she did say one thing that's probably very true. The best revenge is to have a better life. This agrees with Duke's second point - I'm assuming your ex is an ex for a good reason.
Moreover, many a true word is spoken in jest, as in...

Walk up to them, smile, shake the guys hand and wish them all the best and ask her what happened to the th other guy she was seeing
I bumped into them in a bar. I handed him a pint, shook his hand, said "High, you must be Chris" (I knew his name was Bobby), thanked him for doing me a massive favour, and walked away.My ex just picked up my youngest son to take him swimming with her new fella in the car.
Poor sat there staring forward looking like he didn't want to be there. Don't blame him.
It all gets progressively easier fella. Certainly at the point now where I pity the poor chap. His choice - fill your boots.

It pulls at the heart strings, even if you don't particularly like that person anymore, some feelings run deeper. I've experienced this with my ex, she had a new guy in her life pretty quick which hits you hard. He came and went, so did two more. Now she's pregnant to the latest one and their relationship is rocky.
All the best to her.
