Barclays “pride” logo on phone app.
Discussion
We’ve recently started using Barclays for business banking. On my phone I’ve got their app, which had the usual Barclays logo on it. Until the last couple of days when it has changed colour to the “Pride” spectrum.
I am aware that Barclays has a sponsorship relationship with Pride and I have no issue with LGBT issues. But I am not sure I want a gay pride flag on my phone’s home screen. It feels a bit political somehow and as if I am being forced to espouse the bank’s virtue signalling.
Am I just being a grumpy old bd or not?

My personal feeling is that the icon should be optional between the the normal icon and the pride icon.
I guess from my perspective, having a bold pride icon in my phone home screen would send out signals that I wouldn't be wanting to send out.
/controversial mode off.
Monzo have also changed there bank logo to the multi coloured one, but there is a option to set it back to the original logo I guess from my perspective, having a bold pride icon in my phone home screen would send out signals that I wouldn't be wanting to send out.

What 'signals' would that be? You like rainbows? You support the LGBT community?
Mental.

What wrong signals? Don’t you think people who are gay should not be persecuted against for the way they are? I guess from my perspective, having a bold pride icon in my phone home screen would send out signals that I wouldn't be wanting to send out.

Pride isn’t about being gay, it’s about fighting for a world where people aren’t beaten or killed for who they love and equal rights.
No ones going to look st your phone, see the colours and thing you’re gay, same as eating the M&S LBGT sandwich

Do you literally have nothing else in your life you could be worrying about/attending to?I am aware that Barclays has a sponsorship relationship with Pride and I have no issue with LGBT issues.
