No snow, but was up Ben Vorlich on Saturday with a mate. Icy rain up on top in the clouds, and my mate was wearing shorts, tshirt, and trainers.

Could just about make out the dam when we were most of the way back down. Shame, it's the 2nd time I've been up that one, and I'm told the view from the top is immense, and I've never seen it!

Weather nerds are betting on a 'front loaded winter' - ie colder start, warmer finish.

My wood shed is rammed to the rafters, the garage is half full of logs, I have a ton of coal and about 800 litres of heating oil.

Standby for the mildest winter on record, might be worth checking the BBQ is servicable for Christmas day too...

We had a BBQ this evening.

Pleasant, if a touch windy, in the September sunshine.

Christ, it seems just the other day the 2020/2021 thread was active frown

The first few weeks of winter are okay, but I'm already not looking forward to January and Feburary.

Yesterday I emptied the kids above ground pool, it had 18000 litres and took 2.5 days to drain, it was finally empty by yesterday afternoon.

I got up this morning to dismantle it, was not happy to discover 5 inches of rain had been filled back up over night.

Literally never heard a thing and we’re right down next to the beach and the wind/rain usually keeps me awake.

IN. Hello all, time for wind, rain, and maybe a bit of snow if we’re lucky (in the tropical south east)

This is the first winter for 15 years that I will have summer tyres left on the car.

Prepare for the annual Daily Express warnings of the impending worst winter since records began to actually be true this year!
