I really miss.........

Marlboro livery in Formula One (Ferrari).
The Camel Trophy.
Being younger.
The only thing you get to look forward to when you're older is having bills, working long hours at a st job, losing friends as everyone starts their own families, kids that hate you (not me - no pesky children, phew!), a deteriorating physique (and eyesight), developing a beer belly etc.
There's nothing good about growing up, and the problem is, if you decide to act not like a grown up adult - you get this: "God, act your age!".

My god, you can read minds. Those things are exactly the same as I was thinking today. Most my friends have families, horrible jobs and a joyless life. The only thing you get to look forward to when you're older is having bills, working long hours at a st job, losing friends as everyone starts their own families, kids that hate you (not me - no pesky children, phew!), a deteriorating physique (and eyesight), developing a beer belly etc.

One of the things I miss the most, almost every day in fact is the relationship I had with one of my closest friends. We both grew up into responsible adults with commitments and wives, him with children.
The youth I grew into adulthood with has changed almost beyond recognition, we used to be the life and soul of the party, life has changed us. I feel really saddened, I suppose you'd say I feel grief for the loss.
Having said all that depressing crap, I love my life now, I have more and possibly even better friends.

Amen to that. There was a huge one 2 mins from my old place. So many great car magazines. Kellogg's Banana Bubbles
Our Price records
Roads without speed cameras
Tobacco livery in motorsport (previously mentioned I know)
Beatties
Late night drives to nowhere
The MPH show before Top Gear ruined it
Long bike rides
Firkin pubs
My ST220
My mk2 Jetta GTI 16v
Kens Diner
My Dad.
I've come up with a few more i miss:
PH from a year ago. It used to really be fun but too heavily moderated now, posts have dwindled markedly.
Ray Luxury yacht. Though i see he has posted in this thread.
Queen bee. Man or Woman it was fun while it lasted.
Noel Watson.
Council Baby
The anticipation of looking forward to things,
Turning up at football and paying to just go in, same at concerts.
Two week summer holidays to places that were so different.
Buying car magazines.
The adventure of going to Brighton.
Roadside picnics
