Signs of a downgrade - looks like we'll still get a storm but it will intensify after leaving the UK, so Norway and Denmark to get the wallop.

I think this is probably a classed as a 'light breeze' compared to what we are supposed to get.
Latest Met Office observations show gusts of around 40-45mph in the South currently. So yes, this is half price biggrin

Bit of an anti-climax so far! frown
Was quite breezy this morning, very sunny and pleasant. Small shower this afternoon but now it's dry, very quiet and clear!
Seems like we wasted our time tidying up everything on the patio!

I feel cheated! I demand...
It's raining here, on the Hants/West Berks border.

Rain all night, then the main event around sunrise.

The reason the wind has died down is the earlier winds were a separate weather system, a low centred around Scotland. This has now drifted off in to the North Sea.

For me, the really stupid thing about this thread and all of the other weather threads is that if the predicted apocalypse doesn't appear quite as predicted, I invariably get a teeny bit grumpy and sort of blame you personally for it, Puggitt.

hehe
They never happen as predicted rofl

9mb in 5 hours... 1mb per hour is considered dangerous...

9mb in 5 hours??? fk me, that's a huge drop.

The benign start to this at the moment belies what, I believe, is going to be a truly vicious event
