Mops are so complex! Who knew?

I better it's not this difficult to make a living selling cars.
I guess that's why we've had a few threads in GG recently about setting up car trader businesses. Much easier than mop trading.

I've tracked down an S1 'Mopsport' shaft! It's the titanium version, lightweight, ex factory, originally used by Kim and Aggie, lots of history with it!
If it comes with a wheeled bucket, check to see that the serial number matches the paperwork. Might turn out to be a "wringer".

Is anyone good at mop diagnostics? A mate just had his fault codes read and 2 worrying ones came up:

0000001 - too wet
0000002 - too soapy

We're a bit flummoxed.

Can you send the codes via your mobile? Is it squeegee compatible?

Has anyone seen that new Vileda advert?

They have a mop on a stand with the head missing and someone spins the shaft from low speed to high speed, then back down again. It shows how well made the head connection is.

Have you tried a more thorough MopCom reader?

I had the too soapy code once and it told me the actual suds dilution level. Helped no end in sorting that issue out.

I'm getting really annoyed at MopGear. All Jeremy does now is push expensive mops round corners shouting "cleaning POWEERRRR". I mean, it's not exactly useful consumer information is it? Who in the real world can afford a Lamopghini anyway?

And don't get me started on "Cleaner with a Reasonably Priced Mop". They should let the cleaners bring in their own mops so we can see what interesting, rare and classic mops they have tucked away in their kitchen cupboards.

Does it require a Flash card?

Thanks guys. I've cleared the faults using a generic diagnostics device I got off eMop, will see how that works out.

It is weird though, I keep adding water and soap but the codes keep flashing up.

Hi guys, I'm in the market for a vintage Vileda F40 (it will be a treat for my 30th Birthday to myself) and have seen a good one at Tim Hortleys Premium Mops...it seems to be perfect but I've heard mixed reports on them, has anyone had actual mop based dealings with them before?

Only heard good things about them. Mate of mine bought a Pagani Mopda from them last year (the R model - it holds the hallway record for off-the-shelf mops of 6min 47sec. Carbon fibre shaft. Beautiful thing).

Custard test! Pic of your mate and his Pagani Mopda with Birds Custard (or a bottle of flash).

cheers mate! I'll give them a call and see if they still have it. On the subject of the hallway record, I don't get it, most people have a carpeted hall so it's totally meaningless in the real world, now if the mop manufacturers concentrated on real world use (like in kitchens), that would be much better!

Peasant. Most decent people have a real wood or slate tile hallway.
