I like the last one. That's going in for sure. I make it 675
I make it 1,545
1,545 here too!
What am I missing here?

S(n) = n(n+1)/2.

So for the 20 numbers on the dartboard, we'd have S(20) = 20x21/2 = 210.
A dart in each segment gives a single, a double and a treble, so 6 x 210 = 1260.
Plus an inner bull (50) and an outer bull (25) = 1335.

edited to add

Oh, of course, there are two 'single' sections for each number, so you'd get 7 x 210 = 1545.

Interested in the other comment that the inner and outer bull aren't 'segments'. I'd be pretty pissed off if I was told 1,545 was wrong and that it should have been 1,470 !
biggrin

Just to muddy the waters...
The bulls aren't segmented.

No-one given the date.... I would have said it was meant to say 1824 but he died in 1821...

How many times does the M25 cross the Thames?

1 - it's the A282 at Dartford
Am I the only one who thinks this is very wrong. What about the other side between Staines and Runnymede ?
I did at first, but it turns out he's just worded the answer really badly.

The crossing at Dartford isn't the M25, it's the A282. Consequently, the only time the M25 crosses the Thames is at Staines.

What author wrote a book in a pseudonym which was turned into a film staring Arnie, subsequently remade with Colin Firth? Or what was the pseudonym? The first is obviously rather simple but the latter perhaps not so much but a quiz is a quiz?

I think you're confusing 2 films here - The Running Man was written by Richard Bachman (Stephen King) but hasn't been remade. The story for Total Recall wasn't written under a pseudonym.

Which is the largest freshwater lake in the world? Caspian Sea (surface area) - possibly not freshwater IIRC, so you could go for Baikal (volume) or Superior (area). I think Baikal has c15% of the worlds liquid freshwater - would need to google for exact amount, but it's deeep 1.5km+
What is the largest great lake ? Lake Superior
What is the deepest lake in the UK? Loch Ness
What is the largest natural lake in the UK? Lough Neagh

Non-quiz related but lake related - glacial lake Missoula is a fun subject - estimates of the flow rate during floods have been up to 10x the combined flow of all the worlds rivers - enough to empty Loch Ness in under 10 minutes.......
