Junction 14 of the M4, taking the roundabout under the roadway to then drive to Lambourn, I may have been guilty of changing down and revving the engine of my Boxster, just to hear it bounce off the carriageway above....

100% this. A tiny pleasure but one that makes my day. Speaking of which it will be new jar time when I get to work. Awesome.

The sound of a Skylark when out walking the dog. I always stop and listen, a real sound of the summer.

A few of mine have already been mentioned but,
Opening a fresh jar/bag of coffee.
Using a very sharp kitchen knife.

Red traffic lights that change to green just as you're about to brake.

Feeding leftover veg to the goats down the road.

Today is Palindrome day 02/02/2020.

The last one was 11/11/1111 and the next will be 12/12/2121.

This pleases me smile

Wasn’t there one 01/02/2010
The palindrome dates mentioned in the BBC article were rarer because they applied to both the UK format for writing dates and the American format for writing dates.

There are more like the one you have mentioned but it doesn't work over the pond using their format.

How often to get the opportunity to use it yikes (other than when you tell people it's your favourite word)

Especially when your feet are wet and cold. That feeling if peeling off your wet trainers and socks and putting on a nice warm dry pair of socks and shoes cloud9

The aroma of creosote emanating from old railway sleepers in the Summer and the sound of insects buzzing about in the nearby rose bay willowherb. Lovely.
