I would keep buying the decants but I hate the little plastic bottles. Don't suppose anyone has a spare Aventus bottle I can decant into? That's my plan when I run out of TV just keep filling the old bottle.
I don't think you can remove the sprayer on Creed bottles.

What is everyone wearing today? Tom Ford Grey Vetiver edt here.

You can buy the small glass bottles they decant into from ebay if you dont like the plastic bottles.

Though the sprayers can be abit hit and miss on if they work or not

You can remove the sprayers as Tom did it for me from his own Royal Mayfair once before he sold it from the bigger bottle

Green Irish Tweed for me today as it is a nice sunny day.

The copycat fragrances sample pack cane with one called TV - Tobacco Vanille.

At first application I really really didn't like it, however 24 hours later on the same jacket it's really very nice.

Longevity of these copycat ones seems superb.

With regard to TV I'll just have to remember to apply 24 hours prior to wanting to wear it...

When i first got a Creed decant from Tom, it smelt like wet cut weeds for some bizarre reason but next time i sprayed it, it turned pineappley

Have you got a TV that you can compare it to or just going by memories?

I'm not wholly convinced of the longevity of the copycat stuff.

I'm obviously on my own with that, given then comments here and the reviews on their site.

Popped into a store called beauty base which has a fantastic range and had a spray of Boss The Scent Eau de Parfum

They were doing a 200ml bottle for £65! ( less than the EDT)

It smelt absolutely superb and lasted ages.

Might have to invest.

Totally agree. I'm comparing with samples from Tom decants.

The copycat ones actually smell quite nice, but definitely different to what they are trying to be. I put on the 'Aventus' from CC, and the misses asked me if it was a new/different one compared to actual aventus, without her even knowing I'd ordered them.

They smell great, different, but just don't last as long.

Back to Tom decants for me until I can make my mind which full size to buy

Aye, the CC stuff does smell nice - my favourites are - Oud Wood, Neroli Portofino & Sauvage.

I'll probably buy more of that from CC but I'll stick with Tom for the Creed stuff.

Back to Penhaligon's Endymion. I tried out a few other samples in the interim, but came back to what I know I like

Aventus is old hat now, plus the latest batches are naff compared to the OG stuff. Prefer Atelier Cologne - Musc Imperial for an Aventus style smell.

GIT, Original Vetiver, Royal Mayfair, VIW are all better offerings from Creed, in my opinion.

Louis Vuitton's fragrances have gone under the radar a bit, Orage and Ombre Nomade are bloody lovely.

Bleu de chanel here, I tried Tom Ford mentioned earlier but was far too overpowering, Bleu is just right

Aventus is rapidly becoming naff, imo - or has done already.

Well, that’s depressing. After taking a break from it for a year or so I was about to go back. biggrin The advantage of it used to be that it both smelled nice, and was expensive enough that you didn’t smell like everyone else...
