I trust all Mother's have had a pleasant day?

Now, I have been searching through the Pequod Hall Library for the Instruction Manual 'What To Do in the Event of a Meteor Strike' and came across this wonder of motoring history, steam driven, and something Battert could have been involved with?



For the life of me, I can't figure out the manufacturer but note that it's left hand drive, so I wonder if it's of French origin?

Any ideas??

It does indeed look as though Witters is spot on there. Here's a pic of one that looks remarkably similar:



It's listed as a 'Foden 5 ton overtype steam wagon'.

Indeed, Trivton-sur-Mer, on a hot Bank Holiday weekend a few years back, hedonistic days Indeed!!!

The venison casserole has been consumed, along with baked potatoes and fine green beans, not just ordinary green beans, oh no no, these were fine green beans!!!

Cracking old steam wagon that, we have a decent sized steam rally hereabouts annually, Netley Marsh Steam Rally to be precise, strangely nowhere near Netley though!!!

The French would have been driving RHD vehicles during those days. They switched to LHD much later on.

I was thinking Fowler or Ransome as possibilities, but Foden is a good shout.

It was my understanding the reason we drive on the left (with a steering wheel on the right) is due to the Cavalry carrying their swords on the left hip and, when drawn, the sword is brandished in their right hand? Thus....
