I noticed there’s a 4x4 response disco in a few of the Plymouth bomb news pics

Of course there was. They mobilised themselves the minute it was announced. They would have got there quicker but had to stop on the hard shoulder to knock one out over the prospect of a PC asking them to put some cones out blocking a cul de sac.

Chap on right has a baseball cap instead of a beret, and no orange string hanging from his shoulder. Is he the unit's bh?

Why three different badges on the berets?

And who’s the ‘civilian’ in the middle giving a double thumbs up, instead of keeping his hands together like the others.

A free home fire safety check? Can you imagine having Walts and clipboards wandering around giving advice? Shudder

You'd need to put a padlock on your wifes' underwear drawer before letting that lot in your house!

This all seems a bit cult like to me. The uniforms, meetings, buying into the ideas nobody else believes in, the names of rank etc. Clearly weak minded individuals.
Where does the money for their shenanigans come from?
Are they even recognised by anything at all?
You can text to donate to them! No idea if they are recognised. On their website there is some story regarding the police and some one making some accusations. Its hard to understand but assume someone in the police questioned their integrity and they weren't impressed.
Pretty sure it's referring to this thread, where it seems the "Chief Officer" got quite upset and sent a lengthy rebuttal to a forum admin to post:

Isn't the Chief Gold Commander Ming the Merciless the same bloke who got a letter from a royal but couldn't print it due to some sort of confidentiality reason?!

I’d be watching my back if it had been me posting negative comments.

I know, from experience, that these organisations attract a lot of ex-SAS members to their ranks.

Since becoming just an ordinary MOP these guys realise they miss the excitement and adrenaline of working with a team cut from similar cloth: hence they join the sort of organisations you lot like to mock.

Don’t ask me how I know this, let me just sort of imply that I’m ex-SAS then I can deny it with a wry smile and a chuckle. So don’t ask.

Any questions? Please.

SAS? I'm pretty sure the A goes before the two Esses.
