Not forgetting Harry Ferguson who was involved with the 4x4 set up....

Stop me if I've mentioned this more than a hundred times, but I fancy creating a family tree of motoring history. Company owners, designers, stylists, engineers, racing drivers, the whole 8.235 metres. Harry Ferguson, a tractor man, set up Ferguson Research to develop an idea by Freddie Dixon for a safe family car with 4WD. He brought in Tony Rolt, a friend of Freddie's who won Le Man's in 1953 with Duncan Hamilton for Jaguar, and Claude Hill who had fallen out with Aston Martin when David Brown bought Lagonda to obtain the straight six designed under WO Bentley. One of the cars built was a 4WD Formula 1 car developed with driver Jack Fairman but raced eventually, and unsuccessfully, by Stirling Moss. https://garagedreams.net/history/jensen-ff-the-fer...
Imagine all the connections there making connections and those making connections. Originally I thought the trunk of the family tree would be the Austin7, but on reflection I think it has to be Mercedes. They invented the automobile after all.

Indeed Dicky, that would make an interesting 'family tree' of motoring connections, and no mistake.Imagine all the connections there making connections and those making connections. Originally I thought the trunk of the family tree would be the Austin7, but on reflection I think it has to be Mercedes. They invented the automobile after all.
Have you started yet?
What ho chaps!!
Our unplanned easy day turned into anything but, after my walk and impromptu visit to Peter Hansford cycles, we decided to go to Halfords to have a look..........
An hour later and £933 lighter, Mrs Bobbers has a Pemberton Somerby in blue, I have a Carrera Subway and we have a bike rack, a lock, mudguards, lights, a bell, a bottle and cage, assembly and set up!!!
Mrs Bobbers then promptly decided that Peanut wanted to go for a drive in the New forest, so we did!!!
Eventually we got home and I set about cooking a tomato sauce from scratch to go with some meatballs and spaghetti.
Then I decided to mow the lawn!!!
So much for an easy day!!
I now have to move the mower into the little shed and buy a shelving unit for the big shed for all the stuff I need to turf out of the little shed!!!

Further fencing has been accomplished. Slow progress, but there's nothing to be gained by rushing.
I am quite pleased with my erection so far.
It's thirsty work however, so when I put all my toys away before starting my dinner of mussels with gin, I decided a nice pint of gin & tonic would hit the spot. It certainly did!
Now unfortunately there's no more ice left in the freezer, so I will have to make do with OSH.
Oh well, worse things happen at sea I suppose.
How are things in Potter Heigham???
