Morning all.

Cloudy all day, with no more than 17 centipedes and rain this evening.

Morneve chaps, started th day with li'l white fishies on toast, will be (soon ) finishing it with anchovy pizza.

Stacked a trailer-load of firewood that I cut & split Sat & Sun. Have moved th splitter further along th wall of stacked pallets I'm building. Needed to build new ramps for under th wheels ( to raise it, so I'm not stooped/ keeping my aging back straight) Needed chainsaw to salvage some of th wood from th old ramps, this is where th day turned to crap - first cut I hit a feeking nail. Freshly sharpened chain.

Magoo, remind me closer to th relevant time when your friends are coming/ their plans. Quite likely they'll pass thru 42S for looking at BIG Sushi/ swimming with dolphins.

Eh? What's that? Come again? Do speak up.

After deciding to leave the Audi with a diagnostic specialist for the week to try and find the intermittent fault that drains the battery in either 48 hours, 36 hours, 24 hours or overnight I received a distress call from Trivchester to go up again to babysit. I'll just have to take the late life crisis. Oh, foo, an unavoidable four hundred mile round trip with ridiculous amounts of horsepower. What a shame.

The only thing there that's worth more than scrap is the toolbox.

There looks to be too much corrosion on any of the milling cutters for anyone to want to spend much money on them.

Small point of order - I know a couple of sub-ministerial bureaucraps, whose knees would benefit from a little attention from th drill bit & hammer. I shall deny any accusations regarding where they came from.

And keep the hammer. Obviously.

Goooooodddddd morniiiiiinnnnggggg Trivetnaaaaaaaaammmm!

Here we are, then. Another week of procrastination, although sadly the only actual entry in the diary is my neighbour's funeral on Wednesday. Good bloke, we got on well, but he'd been ill for a long time. Still a shock, though.

I've just returned unscathed from Tesco - I've got into the habit of doing the weekly grocery raid early on Monday mornings, before the Great Unwashed drag themselves out of their fetid pits. It's not the milf-rich sunlit uplands of Waitrose, obviously, but it's closer to home, and cheaper. Some sacrifices are necessary, however unpalatable.

I'm just off out into the rather dull and slightly chilly morning for my first stroll of the day, and I might give the mighty Up! a wash this afternoon - a trip to Swanage is on the cards for later in the week, weather permitting.

Laters.

On second thoughts, I won't need th 'ammer - will set 36 volt cordless drill to hammer function with that large bit. Will save on postage.

It is National walking month where they are encouraging you to walk 20 mins a day. Our company ar having a competition to see who does the most steps, this month I've clipped an old phone to the dog. I'm on almost 300,000 steps so far, the dog is on close to 2million biggrin

Had a busy weekend. I bought some of that GTechniq ceramic spray someone recommended on here and have been coating the TVR in it to try to stop it getting so many stone chips. Interesting stuff, noticeable when I went to open the boot and found my hand slipping off the lip.

Early start for Prescott on Saturday, Shooting and dog walking yesterday, followed by watching the F1 and Spurs last game. A very pleasant weekend. Back to work this week and some boring professional exams so we can keep our discounts frown

It will do nothing of the sort sadly, the only thing that will lessen the impact of stone chips is paint protection film. Ceramic sprays that are available 'over the counter' so to speak are more about preventing UV rays from damaging the paintwork and causing the topcoat to degrade.
But agreed, they do add a slickness to the paintwork
