Glenrobbo went tomorrow,
Went tomorrow a meadow,...
Stupid autocorrupt.
Magoo, that roof collapse looks serious, what caused it?
I hope nobody was injured when it caved in.
Take care chap, safety first.
Robbopoppetlet has gone home with her Daddy, I have produced a half-decent stir-fry by cutting the tough-as-cowboy-boots "Tennessee Style" steaks into thin strips, gently frying on a low heat for a good while, then adding diced courgette, onion, aubergine, peppers, tomatoes, and serving with soft ribbon noodles.
It wasn't too bad considering.
Carrot cake and a coffee for afters.
And now it's a neevning of winding down & R&R, in readiness for a further bout of fencing tomorrow.
I think an OSH is not out of the question.
Are you morrowing a'meadow further demain, old chap?? Way, hay, and up she rises?

7/6d only got you so far, albeit that was sufficient for many... furthermore, change out of 10/- was rarely available!
I would reconsider a'bout of fencing tomorrow, due to it being Tuesday (sooo ooop day) when full concentration on the matter in hand is required whilst rendering down the carcass and t'other ingredients...

Some people are a bit funny about money. On the last big project I worked on as a lowly contract draffy in oil and gas it tended to be me who fetched the bacon sarnies on Friday mornings. The order was usually 15 to 20 sandwiches, enough for the caff to give me a complimentary cuppa while I waited as the order was prepared. The routine was, I went round the office taking the orders and money, walking over to the caff, coming back, dishing out the sarnies, everyone eating them and then me going round with any change that was owing. This particular morning, I had dished out the sarnies and everyone was eating when one of the engineers came over to me and asked for his change. In my opinion he was louder than the situation demanded. I reminded him that the settling up was traditionally last in the order of things. He was really put out and insisted. I put down my sandwich, checked the list, stood up, fished about in my pocket and gave him his change. He took it and went off in a huff. Nowt so queer as folk. Odd.
Odder still was that as a contract engineer he was on 60 an hour; a pound a minute. Despite this, he thought I needed putting straight with the change I owed him. 20p.
I kept missing him from the list after that. Shame.
That could be seen as being a bit petty, Dicky.
I know.
I worked for a while in the Netherlands, sharing a house with two others. Between us we were raking in about £400k PA. Rubbish could only be disposed of in special green sacks, available from the local shop for 50p each.Odder still was that as a contract engineer he was on 60 an hour; a pound a minute. We'd often spend hours debating whose turn it was to spend 50p
Good morning allbody.
Glenners the barn roof damage comes from neglect of maintenance. A slipped tile becomes ten slipped tiles then rain then rot. Then a Brit buys the ruin normally after it's been left for years waiting for the old owner to die.
Very common here in this region as the property has little value when in poor condition but building and repair costs are high.
Old owner dies, relatives put it up for sale hoping a Brit or Dutch buy it! Headache solved, money in the bank.
I shall pop up there in a while to see if anymore has caved in.
I've put it to the owner that cheapest option is remove and create a walled garden!
Oak beams anyone?

Morning/evening chaps
We have blue skies, I repeat, we have blue skies, over.
Whether it's going to stay that way remains to be seen!!
Yesterday at wemakeplanebits.com I actually managed to get something done, not by myself, no, I had help, but I'm taking it as a win!!!
Dermot O'logical, I meant to ask, saw you say 16,000 steps reached, that's about 7+miles!!! Where do you walk to clock up that sort of distance?

It's not 7 miles Bobbers if you are a short arse. When i was going to the gym, i used to have to clock up 15,000 per day and i could that at work and walking to and from the gym and there is no way on this Triv filled planet that i walked 7+ miles a day. Not a chance. Nada.We have blue skies, I repeat, we have blue skies, over.

Harpoon that big Teddy!!!!;
O CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring…
