Right, a quick shufti reveals a clear winner this week

......drum roll maestro......

Team OSH with 11 correct answers, well done bouncewoohoopartywoohoobounce
Well done to all who took part, even the lowest score was over 5 so some good knowledge shown this week.

Prize is extra OSH for Glenners and he is hereby removed from any of the donkey work setting up for the celebrations at TT.
Drum roll?

Goody, I love a tympany butty! burgerlick

Thankyou Snowy. bow
I am surprised and pleased, but disappointed there were not more quiz entrants.
I am just pouring the first of my extra OSH prize and I raise my glass to all of you:

To Trivialites everywhere! drink

Yes it is somewhat of a let down that more don't enter the quiz.

Oh well

scratchchin I wonder if there would be a greater uptake if the TTQuiz was moved to Wed or Thurs evening when the residents would not be submittinging their personages to the lure of the Friday evening attractions of the Trivton Town Hall Friday Evening Beetle Drive with tea and scones?

What do you reckon?

The trouble is Bobbers, someone has to go to the trouble of sorting out questions etc - some times other do the quiz - and then when only 4 people or so enter, it's a bit of a let down.
I know i know, people can choose not to be on the internet of an evening and i would be the first to defend that right but if people think my quizzes are too difficult, then maybe it's time for a change?
Just a thought

Yeah, but not now because they're all out on the razzle this evening, indulging in the fleshpots of Trivton, knocking back copious quantities of absinthe, red screw-top plonk, Auld Bertie's GutThruster, and Albanian Antifreeze, pickled eggs and scratchings.

We won't get much sense out of them until Sunday lunchtime after Church.

Personally, I enjoy slopes questions because they get me thinking, and the varied subjects are interesting.
Sort of "Well, I never knew that, but I do now..." smile

Well i'll be the first to admit i don't want to set the questions, i agree with glenrobbo that your level of questions really get me thinking, however i understand that you may be fed up with setting the question.
You've alluded to wishing to quit the internet a number of times, and with all the st in the world i understand that, what i don't understand though is wishing to quit Trivial Towers.
In the grand scheme i'm a newbie, however despite the fact that some days i feel very trivia depleted, i know that i can come on here and join in, laugh, be silly, be sad, be me, and i wouldn't change that for the world.

Thanks for setting the quiz, Snowy. Sorry I didn't compete. I had a bit of a day.

Nothing serious. Just too much to do.

I really enjoy the quiz but I must admit I have to try and shoehorn it in around cooking, dad duties and the like. Maybe if the questions come out at lunchtime with a submission window some time in the evening a few more would join in?

Alternatively I bet there's a free widget online somewhere for setting a quiz and sharing the link. That might work but I do like everything being hosted here in TT.

I enjoy th quiz even if unable to participate, we've moved to winter time & you to summer time, so the timing is unfortunately early on Saturday, for me. I still like following th banter & th clever way folks answer questions they don't know..
Tis a sunny winter day here - I've a cord of wood to split.
Sleep well all'n'sundry, be 'ealthy n 'appy

Good morneve paua!

How much wood is there in a cord?

I'll wager it's more than enough to fill the rear end of the shooting brake.

Good morning everyone.

The local farmer has jumped on the band wagon and put his Oak firewood prices up! He now wants €170 for three cubic meters, compared to last years €156.
Still cheap heating though. 9 cube will be got to put into stock.

So it's more bramble killing first thing and see if any more of that barn roof has fallen in.

Hieneken rugby cup final later this afternoon between La Rochelle and Leinster. It should be a brilliant game.

Fout.

It's a black poplar, so not very good firewood ( unlike th eucalyptus I have been getting) , however it's free & only 5 km away.
Magoo, oak at that price is cheap cf prices here.
