How many visits is this, or have you lost count?

All the best, buddy.
This is surgery number 15 (in total, 14 on my leg, 1 on my pelvis).

I’ve definitely lost count of the number of visits! I’d say conservatively over 100 by now with inpatient stays, physio, preop assessment, post op clinics…

Good luck today, Dibble. Sounds like you’ve been thoroughly in the wars! Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.

Morning All. What a week! Incredibly stressful week at work, where I had to go in to support the announcement of entering consultation to relocate our manufacturing, thus potentially closing the site. It was a somewhat emotional day! Now having to to take a long, hard look at my new (to me) business unit and figure out how best to restructure as a couple of people leaving has opened up the merry-go-round. I’ve had all of 31 days to get my head around it: what could possibly go wrong‽

Sigh. Easter holidays for the kids and Mrs SM now. Hopefully a couple of slightly easier weeks before the melée starts once more!

Good luck dibble.

On brighter news, walked to the Saturday Market this morning to get breakfast, yum

Tomatoes anyone?

The market was full of food. I've had to buy bread, cheeses, different cured sausages, tomatoes, Belgian chocs as gifts for Ashas sitters, more beer, some cakes for the office...

Thats a bit off for an ex-copper, putting a convict arrow on you biggrin or does that mean you're now MOD propertt?

You know when you can't afford stockings and you draw a line up your leg - it's supposed to go up the back, not around biggrin

Take care all the best

All the very best Dibble.

Madame M was away early doors for an appointment in the city of Poitiers this morning. She's having an MRI scan on her knee. Arfurrightus has been resident in the left knee for many years,so it appears that more injections are needed.
It doesn't help being a driver of buses. She was given an auto bus for a period of time but the company seem to forget and she gets asked to use manual ones.

Agent M has been walked in between stormy showers.

Good morning all.

Fout.

Best wishes Dibble, as they say in theatrical circles, 'break a leg'!!

ION: I thought I would take advantage of this new-fangled shopping delivery service so, today at first light, this shiny number hovered over the lawn at Pequod Hall and slowly descended to rest before the waiting Benson who was ready to unload the drone! Marvellous service, albeit one of the eggs had a slight crack....

More later...

Ternoov'ning awl! wavey

Good luck with the op today, Dibble, and GWS Mrs.H.

Now, I wanna tell you a story:
Please listen very carefully, I weell say zees ernly wernce.
Last year, on 18th March 2022, we received "Advance Notification of Extensive Roadworks and Interruption to your Gas Supply" ( their capitals ) and informing us that work would start "during the week of April" and last for approx 2 weeks.
They arrived on 28th March 2022, dug a hole in the pavement at the start of the avenue, placed barriers around it for two days, and then filled it back in.

Then each household recieved another letter informing us that work would be carried out from 04 04.22 to 14.02.22 and they would need access to each property to turn off the gas supply for a short time.
They never came.

This year, another letter dated 01.02.2023 informed us that the work was scheduled to take place from 18.02.2023 to 25.03.2023.
They never came.

This morning...

BAZINGA!!! jesterAPRIL FOOL!!! jester rofl

Loads of heavy plant vehicles, vans, dropside trucks, a tarmac cutter saw machine, and a mini-digger turned up at the crack of Doom, dug big holes in the pavement at the end of each driveway, erected barriers, and blocked in any cars that happened to be parked there.
I'll give them due credit, they were bloody quick.
But only a year late.
By 10:30hrs, they had exposed a metre length of gas pipe in a pit at the end of each drive on our side of the road, and packed up and gone.
I hope residents with blocked-in cars weren't planning on going anywhere anytime soon.
I'm lucky, I widened my drive many years ago, and just happened to park the C-Ma_ on the opposite side to the excavated 1 m³ hole.

I am truly disappointed that they are doing this work during the School Easter Holidays,
because it would have been so much fun to watch the mayhem it would have caused twice a day during school drop-off and pick-up aggro times.

Oh we do have lots of fun here oop norf. biggrin
