I've been to see a specialist this morning whose booked me in for some surgery at the end of April. I don't do hospitals but he's assured me they'll be a General Anastasia taking part and then I'll have at least a couple of weeks to post continuous bks on PH.

Have I mentioned I really don't like hospitals, have a phobia of needles. I wasn't feeling well as he was describing the procedure, how big a cut, then went full US with all the possible complications.

I know this is minor compared to some of you lot, but I don't do ill. I don't like getting old frown
I was terrified of needles until being in hospital for 8 days with pneumonia, twice daily injections for blood clots and a blood test every day kind of cured me of my phobia.

I hope it's nothing serious Byker?

Well, we've arrived at our hotel, it's very nice, but the room isn't quite what we were hoping for, but nice enough.
Stopped in Bexhill and St Leonards on the way through, sad to say they are quite rundown and looking very old, I believe the correct quote would be "faded grandeur".

You've traded the faded graneur of Trivial Towers for the faded grandeur of Bexhill and St Leonards. I see. In future, we could ask Mrs B to spread a few doilies around the place and ask Battert to speed things up a bit and, hey presto, it's like a hotel. A little cheaper too, I shouldn't wonder.

Do you recall the time Brigadier gawd rest him Brassington misunderstood a cry for fresh anti-maccassars and thought we were under attack? He ran around yelling, "Massacre! Massacre!" until he tired himself out and fell asleep in the staff quarters.

3 hourly blood tests every day for 2 years did nothing to cure me of mine, nor did Barium injections or any of the other injections i've had over the years.
Even now, 42 years on, i am still really against injections and blood tests and don't get me started on MRIs or canulas

Indeed! That episode is indelibly imprinted upon my tortured memory banks, Dicky!

But I cannot remember what I had for dinner yesterday.... confused

I may have dozed off after lunch. Have the visitors been?

Artnoon all. Blood test results are in and my blood sugars are behaving themselves with an identical reading for the last three(3) quarterly tests.
Still low on a bit of energy so may up my protein intake and see if that helps.
No booze now for 15 months which I do miss at times.

I'm afraid they have, old boy. Been and gone, probably taken some of the silverware too.

Same for me Bobbers, I hated hospital, even visiting and fainted a number of times. Having bi weekly chemo for 9 months sorted my fear out. I have no problems at all now.

Yeah happened in 2004, 16 chemo sessions and 2 weeks of radiotherapy. Learn a lot about yourself during that time. There were some lovely people in the same boat as me and we formed a little treatment club.

The log pile continues to improve, but I didn't start the carpentry today. I did prep an area to drop some new paving slabs into, which previously house a poorly located ivy plant.

Good news on keeping the blood sugar under control.

Hammo, I didn't know you'd been on that journey. I've no idea how I'd cope with that, hate being ill.

A fine meal has been consumed along with a few/couple/some beers and a very large whisky, and now it's time for bed.

Battert is saying the route he's planning for the next phase of his particle accelerator programme to replace the Small Trivton Collidor will follow the original route of the airfield perimeter track. He claims the cost savings made will far outweigh any experimental inaccuracies caused by the collidor not being perfectly round; particularly the long straight bit running parallel to Straight Road. The Medium Size Trivton Collidor is due to be in service by 2054.

Wishing all those with ailments well and, to accommodate the ancient Chinese curse, a most uninteresting time for all today.
