went to school with a lad intials V.D. - as you say, what on earth were the parents thinking.

Several years ago it made the news when a registrar recommended that Mr Peacock reconsider calling his son Drew...
I went to school with someone whose parents decided V.D. Lee was not a cruel name.

I used to work with a guy called Alan Edwards.

He had a lovely briefcase with his initials in gold on it.

A.S.R.E.

I think his parents were very careful naming him. biggrin

Whilst that is certainly sniggersome, I can't help but feel sorry for Diane Abbot. Having your mental decline mocked publicly - and I'm not referring to you Fermit, but in wider discourse - is rather sad.

One of my Managers was Simon Heath... aka Sheathy.

There were two Kerrs as well & I had to ask...One did say yes, but along with wry smile.

I am conflicted to be honest. On the one hand I agree with you (and her achievements are to be admired: in those days a black woman of an immigrant family in university, Cambridge no less, must've been a rarity so not stupid) on the other I find her a vile individual how seems/seemed to take delight in spreading discord...

Anywho, back on topic

Largely agree with that, but as per CDG's comments it may be a cruel thing to mock. That said, if she genuinely is loosing her marbles then there is no longer any place for her in front line politics.
