Gud moaneve everybooby!

A long Bank Holiday weekend, which makes no difference to those of a retired disposition such as myself, apart from the fact that the New Forest (other tourist hotspots are available in this septic land) fills up with tourists. A self fulfilling prophecy, I suppose that's what tourist hotspots are for. Best avoided, in my view.

A morning of stepping is my plan, along with finishing the protective coating on the Golf, and watching the British GT race from Oulton Park (Sky F1 channel, don't know what time). It should be either interesting, or a procession, because GT racers, like most of us, have expanded width-wise over the years, while the track hasn't.

Anyway. Last evening I, too consumed bits of a juvenile sheep, prepared by my sister, and consumed several glasses of wine. No adverse reactions to either, so I'm off out into the current window of sunshine in between the rain showers for some fresh air.

Whatever you're doing today, enjoy yourselves!

Even though I wanted it, I cant get comfortable having an 8k car on the drive as I feel I dont deserve or need it.

Disaster looms. Looking forward to the time when their newborn twin boys are old enough to play tricks on folk by each pretending to be the other, Mr and Mrs Fovem of Trivhall Leigh have given the boys identical first names! They're both call Beaux - Beaux Fovem.

Well you must have done something right somewhere along the line old chap, otherwise it wouldn't be sitting out there.

Incidentally, do the brakes work? if so, you're doing a sight better than we are this morning. The anchor's wrapped around the public telephone box on Cemetery Way grumpy

Morning All, except Paua who I imagine is settled down with perhaps a hard earned beer and contemplating retiring to sleep the sleep of the righteous.

This is for Bobberoo, as related to me by a much loved friend who celebrated four score years and five last week.

It seems there were three sisters who shared a house and were no longer burdened with the first flush of youth. They were 92, 94 and 96 respectively.
The elder sister fancied a nice soak in the bath so she went up, ran the bath and got undressed.
(Don't worry - it's not that sort of story).
Then she forgot whether she was about to get in the bath, or had just got out of it. So she called to her sisters to help her solve the conundrum.
The middle sister went up to help, but when she reached the landing she couldn't recall whether she was on the way up or coming down so she called out to the youngster in the front hall.
"Oh, you're a pair of old ninnies" she said, and rapped sharply on the hallstand with her knuckles.
"Knock on wood I'm perfectly fine though, thank goodness, so I'll come up and sort it out".

Oh, don't worry about us, old boy. Not really a shame, more a way of life with the old Lagonda.
We've largely become accustomed to it now.

It's perfectly normal, A500:
the Lagonda's brakes have been inoperative for as long as we can remember.

Why do you think you don't deserve it?
Have you worked for it?
Have you saved for it?

Yes, he'll definitely have a big banger in his shed that could be acquired for under a £1k, but it'll probably be well past it's best, quite sweaty, and definitely unstable.
