No no I don't mind, I did IVF on the basis of being on my own. Plenty have told me to go out and just "trap" a man, however that is not the way I was wired. My last relationship saw me "waiting" for my b/f to be ready, once we split I realised I would never wait for another man again and just got on with it myself. 38 and clock ticking for long enough!
See this puts quite a different spin on things. Far different from someone being a silly woman and falling pregnant within a non-harmonious relationship.MentalSarcasm said:
I may be rejoining this thread, just updated my PoF page (abandoned it after a creepy guy wouldn't stop messaging me, managed to work out how to block him eventually!) and messaged an interesting-sounding bloke whose description was grammatically (sp?) correct so we'll see how things pan out.

Apologies. I always thought you were a bloke for some reason. I feel disappointed in myself for missing so many opportunities for perverted, sexist and down right ridiculous posts. No point in starting now though, good luck with POF ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

Yes some are surprised I could not take that route of just sleeping with someone for an end result, I am just too damn nice!!!. ![rofl](/inc/images/rofl.gif)

On other news, I've been kicked to the kerb by my now former girlfriend...
But I guess nobody cares

Thanks for that. In all honesty, I should have seen long time ago that we did not work together, but I am too stubborn (and afraid to admit failure is an option) for my own good.PoF it is for me then

You can tell me to mind my own but did you have IVF on the basis of being a single Mother or were you with someone at the time? Just curious ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

I have a number of female friends who've pretty much missed their chance of having children, purely because they can't get 'Mr Darcy' out of their heads.
Fairy nuff to have those ideals in your 20s - but in your 40s?

I was wondering (mostly out of curiosity for statistics, which is after all a major part of what I do), what's the average ratio between people messaged on PoF and replies that you guys have?
V low.Think of how many messages you receive against your replies. Girls likely get 2-10x that amount and probably reply to a similar number.

I sent out maybe 10 messages a week and maybe...MAYBE 1 would reply. The woman I eventually started seeing, was receiving around 145 emails a day!
She simply couldn't reply to them all....
The subject heading for my message to her was " Don't delete me yet"
