From reading the original post the OP did not "gob off" (what a horrible saying) to the lady. \As I read it as she was being aggressive without reason. She did not know the vehicle had a blue badge or not. She could have checked and if there was a blue badge responded accordingly But no instantly went on the offencive.

That is what I find wrong with people, what is wrong with just being nice.
How do you know that she acted in that way?
I am just basing my response on the information provided. I don't believe either parties have any evidence that they could present in a court of law that would incriminate either party.
Youre basing your responses on 1 side of a story. What we do know is that the OP parked where he shouldnt and left his litter.
You only "know" that too based on one side of the story hehe

Yes because that is all the information I have to go on. If you have the other story I would happy to review that.

If it's lucky to be shat upon by Jonathan Livingstone Seagull does this count?

Whitby seagull shat through camper van's open side window, scoring a hole in one in SWMBO's handbag.

I'd say the OP should have realised the priorities, apologised to the elderly couple and moved his car. That would have been the right thing to do.
I am not a married man but if I was I would have thought the happiness and wellbeing of my partner would take precedence to someone parking. If there was a slight delay to the older couple, while sitting comfortably in a car waiting for the spot I would have liked to think they would see the ladies distress and accomodated it.
I am a married man, and I would indeed prioritise my wife's happiness and wellbeing.

That's precisely why I wouldn't dream of parking in a disabled space to leap to her assistance as though she couldn't possibly tolerate so much as a few extra seconds of something do trivial as a little bit of bird poo in her hair. She would be quite rightly mortified, and certainly wouldn't let me live it down in a hurry!! hehe

But no, OP fks them off, continues to attend to his Porsche and his wife and then potentially gives the disabled elderly couple a real headache when their car won't start. He should be ashamed of himself imo.

What a complete and utter self important individual.
I did move my car to allow them to park in the disabled space, they were waiting for less than a minute whilst I cleaned my hands, I then continued to attend to my wife (not the car as that wasn't the priority), and I didn't do anything to their car save for putting a neat pile of used wet wipes at the base of the Kia's windscreen.

You obviously haven't read the thread and have made a bit of a fool of yourself with your comments based on assumed incorrect facts.

I'm calling bks on that as you alluded to the fact something would happen when they started the engine.
Not sure where you got that 'fact' from ... please be kind enough to quote

there you are a grown man making a song and dance about your car as if it's your best thing ever and then you inconvenience and were rude to an elderly couplE.
I was very restrained (for me); the only 'song and dance' I made was a sarcastic "thanks for your help" as she passed me on her way to the beach. I was never rude although I admit, deep down, I wanted to be. I was more worried about the state of my wife who is also an elderly lady, probably older than the couple in the Kia.

8 pages into a thread titled "A lesson learnt for an angry old lady" about how you showed a couple of pensioners who walk with sticks who's boss by depositing litter on their car and I'd say there's only one person who's made themselves look a fool.

My guess would be you posted the thread thinking you'd get a bit of a virtual pat on the back rather than being called out for your poor behaviour, rightly so in the circumstances.

A little humility would be a good thing.

So the OPs “wifey” is blonde and, now, also elderly and the “brilliant idea” (that was so brilliant he started a thread on it) was leaving some used wet wipes on a windscreen? On what planet would anyone consider that brilliant, funny or clever?

Nice try OP but an epic fail. You didn’t get the pat on the head you hoped for so resort to back-tracking and lying.

How old are you? Genuine question.

Is leaving a pile of used wet wipes on the screen the new hammering a sausage up the tail pipe ?

Its probably best not to say what someone did or didnt do from half a story then. Im presuming that the OP isnt lying when he said he parked where he shouldnt do and left his litter because why would you lie about that.

And that sums it up. I just thought my story would add a bit of humour to what could have been a dull weekend ... obviously I was wrong, but it's been interesting reading the responses, especially from those who immediately jump to incorrect conclusions. I wish the old lady and her driver no harm, my wife has now calmed down and had her hair done, the Porsche came out of it OK, I've enjoyed reading the responses on PH, so all is well in my life. Many thanks for listening everyone.

I would have taken the piss out of my mrs and then taken a photo of her before offering any assistance. Cleaning bird st is not an emergency.
