Who would have thunk it.

Currently about 20c and sunny here in the Thames Valley. The nights are certainly getting a bit chillier though.

Still on for Monday in the South! Blue to green is rain forecast. Pink to purple is snow. As rain is forecast next to snow, it's a she bet that any snow would be wet and short lived.

Was like summer over the weekend. Kids and I went for a hike in the woods and I had a massive sweat patch from my backpack. Sunday we all went to the park and it was lovely. Kids wanted to go home and get the paddling pool out.

This morning I forgot my gloves on my cycle and couldn't feel my fingers when I got to work.

Weather: Its time to st or get off the pot. If its winter lets have it proper :-)

Chilly this morning in North somerset, 3 degrees right now according to my weather station. Convinced I can see the last remains of some frost on the house roof opposite.

Better find my gloves before I cycle to the station...

This was on the ferry from St Mawes to Falmouth on Monday. Staying down here for a half term and the weather has been mid to high teens everyday.

Went for a run this morning before work and thought it was a bit chilly. Could have done with some gloves. Found out it was 5 deg when I jumped in the car an hour later!

Bit of a shock to the system.

And it all ends now!

As before - northern Scotland and Aberdeenshire most likely to see quite widespread snow. It may appear in other places, but fleetingly and wet.

It will be shockingly cold this weekend in all places.

Hmmm. I'm on a day skipper course in the channel next week. I might buy some sailing gloves.

Rain has gone through and it’s definitely turned chilly here in the Surrey tundra.

Bodes well for a decent winter.

Plenty of snow across northern Scotland currently. Some on Snowdonia and N Yorks moors.

Increasing signs of SSW during November. This would keep the weather pattern going with high pressure over Scandinavia.

Winter has deffinately arrived in scotland, that's 2 roads shut due to the 'adverse weather conditions'

Hopefully not to long a wait until the slopes are open now!

We have had a coupl;e of flurries at 200 mtrs, nothing worth speaking about though.

tongue out It looks like it's going to be gorgeous, if chilly. (And it took a lot of organising...)

A very light dusting of snow this morning here on the Cheshire plain.
This is not normal for October.

scratchchin I wonder if tomorrow's TVR Goth Run to Whitby will still go ahead?
