Would you leave the UK if you could?
Discussion
Moved to Auckland mid-September, just heading into Summer now, I walk down Queen street to my office for work, no stress or hassle. Everyone is very friendly, Skype lets me keep in contact with friends and family in the UK.
I thought long and hard when the job offer came up, but I know I would regret it more not going than to go and then come back in a few years if it does not work out.
My place is rented in the UK, so that provides a bit of income as well which is handy.

I'd like to move to France. Rural, Southern France.
Hoping to buy a plot of land in 5-6 years when I've spent a few years out of my apprenticeship and hopefully got the money to buy some land as well as rent my own place in England, spend a few years building my own house using my holidays out there before eventually setting up my own business there.
That's my life plan right there.
I'll see you in 20 years when I'm sat in a caravan just outside Blackpool, regretting every decision I ever made.

I've just moved to Norway. Seems like a good move.

Where have you moved? ( populated by car haters)
If you live close to Oslo, take a ride out on Gamle Mossevei during the summer time and then come back and say we are car haters. In fact there are many petrolheads here in Norway (I can think of few other places where classics american cars are as popular as here), but like always there's a minority that spoils it for everyone
I seriously got the winter blues nearly a year ago now and was considering trying to move to the West Coast of the USA but got a little frustrated upon seeing the difficulties on getting any kind of working visa, even with Canadian Citizenship.
I got over it because I came to the conclusion that life is about people and places. Still would like to try something different at some point though, maybe Canada.

Depends.
Im usually quite a slob so blend in quite well here. Have family in Germany and always feel like i need to make an effort/dress well over there. I like the easy going attitude here, no one seems to care if youre a slob here.
Crap at foreign languages, so would have to be an english speaking country, all of which seem to have similar problems nowadays, what with Obama quietly turning the US into a socialist version of Mexico and so on.
In practice then, probably not.

The thread that never dies.
Are people trying to leave the UK's problems, or gain the overseas positives?
Cause most of the places mentioned have the same issues as here.
Very few places are better, but all are different.
