Bible said:
1. You shall have no other God’s before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy.
5. Honor your father and mother.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shall not bear false witness.
10. You shall not covet.
Does anyone seriously believe that this is the best moral framework to live their lives by? The first four are around making sure that everyone sticks to the 'right' religion, the rest are the bleedin' obvious.

It wouldn't take much to come up with something far better.
You would also think that God would have a better understanding of the use of apostrophes than that.
3 months and that's your best response?

Good work hehe

Some are outright immoral. Christianity isn't afraid of a little revisionism, and tend to conveniently shorten number 10. The fuller version is this:

"You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's."

So it degrades women to possessions... At a level of houses, donkeys, and oxen.
You've done that in fairness, it doesn't say those things are the same or equal does it, its clear someone's house is more precious than his livestock for example!

The point being its wrong to want someone else's wife or husband.

No. It’s wrong to take it to the next stage. Are you saying humans should not desire other humans?

As Carlin says, desire drives the economy, and aspiration. Just don’t get a restraining order smile

Humans desiring other humans is fine….unless of the same sex.

That’s detestable and they should be put to death.

Ive been thinking self monetary growth and l financial success, material things ,etc can go subconsciously into peoples thoughts that all will be fine after one dies because they seemingly succeeded in life to a certain existent and the reality/ thought of passing away seems irrelevant like there is nothing much to worry about and go with the flow of life , it's a false security in my view the life's which many people build to then only fall down like 🧱 in one way or another
Just think though what's your true life's purpose and see some of the bigger picture away from suburban bs

Good point.well unsurprisingly I don't always know what I'm on about but that's ok because no one really does or otherwise we would have more conclusive tangible answers to read about in a book .and no the bible is more than likely a fictional story later update some 400 yrs ago...
