A very very small dusting in Bucks this morning. Not melted yet, but there doesn't seem to be any more coming either grumpy

Yup, spotted a few bits around Marlow/ High Wycombe. Even saw some coming down on the M40 on my way to work.

No frost in sunny Sussex today - first time in nearly two weeks. Still below freezing though...

Where is our snow?

Jesus, how cold was it today, rode to work and back it was a painful, biting cold, its funny as I dont think it was actually below freezing, been out in minus five and been comfortable.

Worlds tiniest snowflakes in Cambridge today. Not sure if they were falling from the sky or if the damp in the air was just crystalising as it was very cold out. Suspect that may be the last snow for this winter frown

From xmetman, for a few days ago - I'm the coldest blob on the south coast, same thing happened a few years back only even more localized and pronounced.

People laugh when I say when it's cold we are often the coldest area in the country.

I see the carrot of a return to cold later in February remains............ for now.

1023 deaths caused by the -5 temps,

It comes after 1,023 more deaths than average were recorded in the week temperatures hit -5C this January, does that sound right, are people sleeping in the garden ?

And plenty of the elderly can't afford to heat their homes adequately. Once it gets below 12°C (iirc) respiratory infections are much more likely.

Good chance of some Altantic storms around the weekend.

Carrot still being dangled regarding a cold 2nd half of Feb. Plenty of indications of an SSW event, and possible easterly wind.
