If he cycles a bike, why has she gone out to take a photo in a car, could he not of taken the photo on the bike?
I just don't get it. It's a new build estate so parking obviously going to be not great, but surely he can cycle around it.
If he's struggling before he leaves the road, maybe he shouldn't cycle to work.

Strange one on our locals last night.
Seemed like half the story was missing so I questioned it.
Got called a dick
She later said she was hormonal and deleted the post.

Strictly speaking, that car is parked incorrectly - it should be facing the direction of the traffic flow, based on the assumption that it’s a two way street in the pic.

(Awaits flaming and pointing out that I’m hideously wrong about that )

A quick Gargle for the Highway Code content on this topic:

You MUST NOT park on a road at night facing against the direction of the traffic flow unless in a recognised parking space. Laws CUR reg 101 & RVLR reg 24

I am of the view that the above is indeed correctly deployed pedantry.

I'd be gobsmacked if that one was ever enforced mind. We park with the cars rear facing the direction of traffic, simply for the reason I expect the rule exists. Our house is on the exit to a sometimes rather fast bend. Red reflectors showing is going to give better notice that there is a car there than headlights.A quick Gargle for the Highway Code content on this topic:

As daft as that is,the amount of people who say“Can anyone recommend a taxi service to take me and my entire family to Heathrow
We need to leave at 23:00 on 29th feb and come back April 31st
Also anyone recommend a dog kennels as no one is going to be at home
I’m switched on and remeber this stuff, as I go for a walk, indeed they are away as they have forgotten to cancel the milk and newspapers etc

In the comments were a mate of the owner posting "OMG, told you not to advertise it on Facebook" and the victim replying "Only advertised for a few hours, never even got any questions so didn't didn't give out the address"
I was bored so in five mins, I had
Looked at his fully open profile
Saw that a few days before he had changed his profile picture showing said bike parked outside a garage
His business was advertised on his profile, his business website gave an address
Streetview showed that the garage was the one at the given address
And I'm hardly a master criminal
Continue to buy nice things certainly, but don't make it so easy for the scumbags

Gets pinched, not chained up from garage lots of outrage
Indeed it’s not right but some people really are thick
A bit like my sister in law, will leave an old bag on the back seat, gets pinched “well it didn’t have anything valuable in it, so I don’t know why they broke in”
Silly bandits not checking the database of bags for their content before stealing them

Facebook sounds like hard work.
The wife used to live her life on FB, used to drive me mad, she'd announce to everyone what she was doing, who with and when, a few times someone mentioned to me that they'd noticed she'd put something on there about being away during x dates and perhaps it wasn't wise as basically it's announcing that no one is in, thing is she just didn't get it. Even our daughters were like "WTF" about it all. She would also "check in" everywhere, we'd be at the cinema, she'd get her phone out, log in to FB, I'd ask what she was doing, "oh checking in", I asked her once if she honestly belived that anyone actually gave a st that's she's at the cinema, I asked if she cared that Nicky (a friend of hers that checked in everywhere) was at XYZ, she couldn't really answer, apart from "well we may be interested and have a chat about how she found it" well I'm sure it would have come up in general conversation anyway without the "checking in prompt?", "Yeahh I guess".
It came to a head once when I found out that she'd "checked in" to the local hospital whilst taking her mum for an appointment, of course this generated interest about why the wife was there, hope you are OK etc, "err it's for my mum", sorry but that is no ones business, I like to think she didn't tell anyone what was up with the MiL, but it doesn't matter, people that had no business knowing she was there, knew! I think it was one of my daughters who told me. Her mum would have been rightly mortified and upset if she had known, I didn't tell her as I didn't want to upset her.
Fortunately now she has almost come off FB, but it had become an obsession, I've never had it.

Back when I used to be on Facebook he'd always tag me in his posts - I had timeline review on so I could restrict the posts showing on my profile - but I'd ask him not to tag me in his posts. 'Why? People might want to know what you're up to'. He couldn't comprehend that I don't want my whereabouts being posted online.
His house was broken in to a couple of years back, coincidentally whilst he was on holiday, posting daily updates across all his social media platforms. I told him that his posting on social media made it obvious that his house was empty and where it was... 'nah, burglars wouldn't use Facebook'.

Oh I completely agree, there's many a group I'm on that provide a daily source of identity theft content and burglar insight, maybe a dramatic image like this is what's needed, I just thought it was all a bit theatrical rather than providing a basic wake-up call.
Thinking about it maybe I'm in the wrong job, I could be harvesting all of this stuff and making use of it...
Remeber when your parents used to make you leave for a fortnight down the coast at 3am and put a cushion in front of the VCR so the clock couldn't be seen through the window?? Times have changed!Thinking about it maybe I'm in the wrong job, I could be harvesting all of this stuff and making use of it...
