Cheers - Endymion Concentré 100ml at that price will do nicely! Added a couple of samples too. Thanks for the heads-up!Nearly added Quercus but didn't - it's nice but lacks staying power though.

I bought a bottle of 'The Tragedy of Lord George' a few days ago for £152 instead of £192.It was from John Bell of London though, as they were having a 20% off sale of all Penhaligons fragrances.
Lord George is one of my absolute favourites and I recommend it.

I love it.If you read/watch a few reviews, people often describe it as what 'wealth' smells like, despite that sounding ridiculous, I really like that description
It smells massively gentlemanly and classy. It has that real barbershop smell of high-end shaving cream and loaded with a boozy brandy smell, and also a bit of classic amber/wood/tonka in there as well.
It doesn't project massively, but I think thats part of the appeal. You can put a few sprays on and smell great, but it isn't in your face, and you won't be making people smell it across the other side of the room, which is part of the 'gentlemanly' appeal of it I think.

I've also just been able to request free 1.5ml samples of Blazing Mister Sam, Castile, Douro and Sartorial.

Are these names real or is this a wind up?

If you want strange names, try Etat Libre d’OrangeFor example,
EXIT THE KING
SHE WAS AN ANOMALY
LES FLEURS DU DECHET – I AM TRASH
MALAISE OF THE 1970s
and the best ever
FAT ELECTRICIAN - His beauty would have been his greatest asset. One imagines he was raised in the big air of Texas, his soft skin scrubbed by ears of wheat, his eyelashes curled by grappling with grace against a blinding sun. A Midnight Cowboy lost on city asphalt.
What a load of tosh, but the scent itself is supposed to be pretty good.

They are all real names and really good, Terrible Teddy being my favorite Penhaligon fragrance. Like the parfum du marly are all horses.
They are basically made up names/stories about the fictional origins of each of their fragrances.

Hilarious stuff. I spent the thick end of forty quid on a Creed taster set but after I'd tried all of them out Mrs B instructed me to give them away to the local 12yr old lad who occasionally walks our dog.
That's a real shame, as they do have some great fragrances.Maybe you were just unlucky enough to get ones that weren't to your liking.
It's probably worth going to a Creed concession in a department store to find one you like by smelling a few. I've learned the hard way as well that ordering blind is not necessarily the best thing to do!
