Met office leaning towards a Scandinavian high forming next week, but plenty of uncertainty. Far from a done deal.

The Trident protesters will be blown all over the shop by that...
As long as they don't land in my garden...

Is there a big protest planned as I didn't know anything about one at AWE or Burghfield?
They'll just claim it's the start of a nuclear winter. Brought on by the North Korean attack that Trump's post-truth, state controlled media can no longer deny!*

Vindication of their cause!

Not to my knowledge, but I've seen a few stood on the pavement with the banners and such. Usually give them a wave as I drive past.

Only just over 3 weeks left of the meteorological winter and once again a bit of a damp squib.

It shows how dull our weather is as, since the met office decided we should name big storm alphabetically two years ago, we've only got to "D".

Harrrumph
The naming runs annually, so Doris would be the 4th named storm of 2016/17.

Yes, poor old Scotland's ski resorts have had their worst season ever. No skiable snow whatsoever all Winter for some.

Last weekend we were drinking frosty beverages outside at a sunny +7 , this week we dipped back into the minus 20's , windchills into the 30's , and 70kph winds . Highways were thick ice , visibility non existent , hey ho .
Groundhog day today , Canadians are having an early Spring while the Yanks have a little longer to wait , Trump to blame obviously .
Stay safe in your storm , it'll be tough out there hehe

Looks like France is getting the big hit - red warnings. Our house is in the Orange area <gulp>

A couple of years ago an oak came down and ended up resting on our boiler room eek

Hope! There is always hope, when all is lost we can cling to the damp raft of hope!

The thing is we have been on the edge of potentially one of the coldest/snowiest winter for many years, all very frustrating!

I wouldn't get too excited, it basically says its going to be mild and wet or cold and dry.
