Yep, a light frost on the car here in Aberdeenshire at first light this morning and snow forecast on the hills later this week.

Absolutely beautiful day now but the leaves are dropping fast!
The extremes we see from one end of the country to the other never fail to amuse me. Leaving a barren looking Yorks in late Winter to see flowers and lambs etc down South where it's Spring is always a thing.

I notice it going from east to west, Berkshire to Carmarthen, at that time of year. My mum's place is down there and her garden is always a couple of weeks in front of ours in terms of spring blooms.

33c today in Colorado. Fortunately the temperatures are starting to fluctuate; we've had a day before 20c already, and a couple more are forecast. No sign of a frost in the next 10 days, though.

Might get to the end of the month before decommissioning the sprinklers for the year.
Ah, Colorado. 3C this morning. And back to 30C later in the week.

Lovely down here, and as luck would have it my wife and I had our first water-skiing lesson booked today!

I have taken the dog for a longer than normal walk, taken a bike ride at lunch, and now working from garden.

It's really rather lovely.

This weekend is the annual village beer festival. It didn't happen last year, we have no pub in the village (see my posts in the Travelers threads), really looking forward to it. 20 degrees forecast.

I was at my allotment last night around 7, smell of smoke burning in the air, temp dropped below 10C for the first time in forever last night here and air felt amazingly fresh but still warm enough for a t-shirt. Perfect. Absolutely perfect.

I'm liking the cooler mornings and evenings, bit still nice during the day. Starting to feel autumnal. Always lifts my mood a little before winter brings it back down.

Beautiful weather at the moment here in Guernsey, lots of fiery red things going on in the sky.

Has it been unusually dry recently? I can't really remember more than a single day's rain since mid August here (Gloucestershire)

It was very dry for Id say 2 weeks, maybe more here in MK, last Saturday we had a decent chunk of rain, been dry since. So yeah I think mid England has been very dry

Tomorrow is the equilux - when day and night are equal times.

Will almost certainly snow in Scotland next week.

Here in TF2, ISTR two days of rain this month. In September.

The park where we walk the pooch? The grass is looking brown, and the ground is like concrete judging by the bounce of the tennis ball.

Got a good cut in of the lawns yesterday. Even had fuel to do it, madness. The upcoming week looks particularly poor.

Gone very dark, but weather apps don't show anything beyond light rain and 15mph wind.

A friend reports 2 or 3 inches of fresh on Ben Macdui today.

It's a shame the top restaurant cam on Cairngorm is broken as I reckon it would be white.
