Yep, a light frost on the car here in Aberdeenshire at first light this morning and snow forecast on the hills later this week.
Absolutely beautiful day now but the leaves are dropping fast!
The extremes we see from one end of the country to the other never fail to amuse me. Leaving a barren looking Yorks in late Winter to see flowers and lambs etc down South where it's Spring is always a thing.Absolutely beautiful day now but the leaves are dropping fast!

33c today in Colorado. Fortunately the temperatures are starting to fluctuate; we've had a day before 20c already, and a couple more are forecast. No sign of a frost in the next 10 days, though.
Might get to the end of the month before decommissioning the sprinklers for the year.
Ah, Colorado. 3C this morning. And back to 30C later in the week.Might get to the end of the month before decommissioning the sprinklers for the year.
I have taken the dog for a longer than normal walk, taken a bike ride at lunch, and now working from garden.
It's really rather lovely.
This weekend is the annual village beer festival. It didn't happen last year, we have no pub in the village (see my posts in the Travelers threads), really looking forward to it. 20 degrees forecast.

Has it been unusually dry recently? I can't really remember more than a single day's rain since mid August here (Gloucestershire)
It was very dry for Id say 2 weeks, maybe more here in MK, last Saturday we had a decent chunk of rain, been dry since. So yeah I think mid England has been very dryevenflow said:

Here in TF2, ISTR two days of rain this month. In September. The park where we walk the pooch? The grass is looking brown, and the ground is like concrete judging by the bounce of the tennis ball.
