  • Starting a sentence with a conjunction.
‘In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.
And the evening and the morning were the first day.’

Genesis, Chapter 1, The Bible, King James version

it's good enough for God so it's good enough for me!

Basics, people. Basics!
I've recently been reading an 1872 Board of Trade enquiry report into a railway accident. It uses "break" instead of "brake". May simply be 19th century useage.

Eurobox = knob.

People that say how the 1.0 litre city car they are driving is doing 28mpg. No it isn't unless you are driving ever where in second gear. They when someone is looking for an economical car, they suggest a 3 litre petrol BMW/various barges that might, with a favorable wind and rock hard tyres, do 30mpg if you hypermiled everywhere, never used the AC and had the tyres inflated to 70psi. Throbbers.

People who disagree with a previous post and feel the need to add 'sorry' afterwards in an attempt to make themselves look superior.

Pah! I remember the can of Red Bull and cadence clutching days.

Sausages in lawn is quite a new fad in the grand scheme of things.

The use of stupid pictures, known as 'memes' I believe, to make some stupid point. Often made worse by said meme using text speak or some ridiculous gang-type language. frown
