First in,despite Pelican strike on the A217.
Early finish today then Iva?

The Pelican strike was nothing to do with Penrose. Following the latest Koi carp incident, the Vicar has had weld mesh fitted over his pond. Penrose is in the garage sorting out the gas axe & bolt croppers.

Morning folks.

Yesterday evening I found myself at St Pancras station for the first time. What a truly marvellous piece of architecture.

There's a scratch on the top of the science oven at work that looks like a pubic hair. It's off putting.

Well Vittie, why don't you get a hundred notes out of the cashpoint, spend twenty on something silly and keep the rest in your pocket. Whip it out occasionally & remind yourself what a good lad you've been.

Generic greeting to make the thread appear in my "watch list" as pressing "watch" seems too impersonal.

Can I have the odd £80 please? Just spent that on new tyre.

If you do that you`ll get a nice warm feeling inside!!!

If it works, Jim, can I have 10% to spend on absinthe as that would give me a nice warm feeling too

Hey, that's a cracking idea! I was going to ask Jim to look after Penrose over Christmas as we'll be away. He could use the money to offset any damage that may occur...

bought a new push bike. (racing bike) did a primlinary 36 mile route on it on Friday night. (part of a circuit I do from home)

without trying too much and as I was on my own, didn't have my mates as such pushing me as happens when you ride in a pack, achieved 41 personal bests on Strava. I was very surprised.

4 rides later, still loving it.

If I've got this right, 10% of £80 is £8. Absinthe £4 for a quart at the Bell & Leper, that's 2 quarts, 1 quart each.

Except Vittie's in Holland, so if he gets 100 notes they'll be Euro Guilder things which on the current exchange rate equates to approximately £10. So your 10% is only worth £1, which will leave a shortfall at the pub of £7.
Therefore, me ol' mucker, you owe me a quart of Absinthe + £3. As they're cheaper in Holland, call it a quart of Absinthe and a packet of Rothmans.

See you in there around 12.30ish.

A OK so I owe the pub £7, plus you a quart of absinthe at £4 plus £3

How reasonable, I'll pop by the cashpoint on the way over

That's about right yes!

And ill probably buy myself some frivolous knick-knack, ive gotten better at being critical of my spendings, which is a good thing, but there is no point in denying myself every single joy...

Now the question, plastic crack or cheap(ish) scotch?

Got myself a medium doner kebab from my local today. was abit pissed off when it came to eating it as they cut the doner extremely thin. No idea why they did that, they've never done that before and there was plenty of kebab there. I was not even full after eating it! (normally I am)
