No... it’s ridiculous that a professional service is waving a pride flag in people’s faces. If a normal person went into their workplace waving flags that explain their sexual preferences they would get people complaining quite quickly.
That tells us all we need to know about your attitude to equality, doesn't it?

That’s weird, why on Earth don’t you want Barclays to change their logo on your phone? What possible negative affect can it have on you?
It is puzzling, isn't it.
Not really, some people are fed up with lbgtrstuv being rammed down their throats.
I'm guessing most LGBT people don't want to ram anything down the throat of any of the bigots on here, they're probably just sitting there, reading this thread and shaking their heads sadly

And most straight people are shaking their heads along with them.

Barclays proudly showing itself as the face of pride in Britain. Interesting that it’s silent on such matters in a country that they are rapidly expanding into - Uganda - where being gay is punishable (in some instances) by life in prison.

My dislike with the Barclays pride app on my phone is their blatant money-making hypocrisy.

I have no problem with that but I do take issue to putting the flag on my phone or taking it into a professional environment where people should keep their views on sexuality to themself.
What “views on sexuality”? That people should be treated equally? Do you think that’s controversial, like who you voted for or whether you agree with the death penalty or whether you believe in god or something?

Yes probably.... basic biology is where the starting point is.... that said for all I care people can live their life however they want providing it doesn’t impact on others who don’t share their views.

So they should keep it to themselves? It’s not a view? It’s how they’re made.

What seems fair enough? The fact that they are patting themselves on the back for standing up for a cause that they believe in, all while completely ignoring that same issue in another place they work where, arguably, it is infinitely more needed?

Or my dislike?!

The company I work for has changed a few of its logos to the pride colours.

Does this mean I’m now gay?

Not particularly bothered but the wife might need to be told.

Your post seems fair enough.

You disagree because you think they’re hypocrites. I’ve no idea if it’s correct or not but that seems a reasonable position to take.

It’s not something I think should be brought up in a professional environment. It should go without saying that a large company like Barclays does not discriminate in anyway - including positively.

Oh dear. See that's the problem.

Those of us who are against a corporate messing about on our phones, get lumped together with your 'not normal' type crowd.

Yes, and patronising too. Like those Halifax/Santander/whatever TV ads and the ‘equity release’ ad with some nonce smiling away as he undervalues the elderly couples house to utterly shaft them into signing it away.

The pride flag does not explain a sexual preference.

It is Barclay's logo to do with it what they please.
I’ve just seen the app. I don’t like rainbows like that and it’s not part of something I’m to do with, a bit like say a Partick Thistle emblem, so I’ll exert my human right to ignore it.

I don’t bank with Barclays, but I noticed this and then started thinking about willies:

If I’ve caught Gay can I sue Apple?
