Don't see the problem. The facepalm pics make sense in the context:
1) OP posts something idiotic.
2) PH#1 posts facepalm pic.
3) PH#2 who also thinks it's idiotic posts facepalm pic.
How is this different to someone posting their newly purchased Gallardo and someone posting "Nice." and another posting "Lovely car, enjoy."? It's just an expression of what they want to say and ."
THis is a new and exciting argument. So to you, it is worthwhile because pictures are a better form of communication than words?1) OP posts something idiotic.

SO in general do you veer towards hieroglyphics to communicate, or do you use simple pictures of cats and dogs like a nursery school child?
Do you think that schools should not bother teaching writing, but instead show the children more and more pictures until they have momorised a picture ofr every word?
Most ridiculous argument I have ever heard in my whole life.

Frankly a lot of the pedant arguments as well are seriously ridiculous for an informal forum...

[Exactly.
And the 'facepalm' thing will just die out and be replaced by the next 'in-thing'. It just happens, and will continue to happen, and is not worth getting upset about (in my opinion).
I agree. People seem to have this vision of me being really upset about it.And the 'facepalm' thing will just die out and be replaced by the next 'in-thing'. It just happens, and will continue to happen, and is not worth getting upset about (in my opinion).
I am really not. I am just making the point that there is nothing funny about a picture of a hand and face. Not even the first time.
Hilariously, people think it will somehow annoy me if they respond to this by posting lots of the said picture.
It doesn't annoy me, it simply makes my point. Each person who eagerly does it will give themselves a big pat on the back and perhaps do it again.
After a while they will realise that noone ackowledges thier posts and that it is pretty pointless.
Anyway- the simple fact of the matter is, that however much the comedians derise this thread, I guarantee for a fact that it will help hasten the demise of the facepalm meme.
Why is that do you think?

A quick google of his name produces some results and it would appear the topics all have the same vain
So either
BSD is on a personal crusade to rid the internet of all memes
or
He has created this "character/behaviour" to garner attention and to be known as the moody grumpy one
Each one seems sad enough in its own right IMO

[Don't see the problem either way on an informal forum. Your reaction to facepalm pics is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in my life.
My reactions being to say "Facepalm pictures aren't funny"Why is that ridiculous?
I am utterly bewildered as to why me reminding people that something funny is not funny is the most ridiculous thing you have heard in your life.
I assume it is something to do with communicating in pictures, but Im still confused.

As sad as you trying to stalk me across the internet to somehow 'prove' something?Take a long look at yourself. I have said "saying 'Facepalm is not funny at all, so don't do it" and your response is to run off, e-stalking me and run back exclaiming "Look everyone- I have found BSR elsewhere- Aren't I clever".
>slow hand clap<
THe only flaw to your genius is that the other place you found me, everyone in the whole world knows about anyway.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Im guessing you are in IT and overweight?
My post history on here is hardly secret, but I'm not at all overweight.

I think you might be over-egging your posts a little if you assume I have ever noticed one of them. You keep on moaning about almost everyone else's posts on here. You appear to enjoy that far more.

I am aware of that place you tard as is everyone else, there are at least 2 other forums where you can find your frankly banal and repetitive threads
Yep taken a long look at myself, all good here thankyou, so with over 10k of posts on here and the other sites you obviously frequent my intial summation was correct, you really don't have much of a life do you...
I started out being annoyed by you, now I just feel sorry for you
I apologise, I understand this is the highlight of your week, I won't interupt you again
