Had a whiff of Versace Dylan Blue might be my next purchase.

His website is either down or gone. I just tried accessing it though a link from one of his emails.

Not sure what has happened.

I have this in my collection. Sometimes I find it great, other times a bit sickly. IIRC (from my time watching Jeremy Fragrance) one of the main constituents is Ambroxan.

Recently received a free sample of Tom Ford 'Costa Azzura' through their Instagram page..

First impressions are nothing to shout about to be honest, but I'll need to wear it for a day and see what it's like longer term. Cost nothing so can't really complain!

Now we're into march , its time to pack away your winter fragrance and get out your spring picks.

What are you wearing this spring ?

Not an expensive one but it's probably time I break out the Joop again! I go through phases where I think it's lovely and phases where I think it's too fragrant, but it's undoubtedly a smell I associate with improving weather and better evenings. Have you any recommendations for spring aftershaves yourself?

Same - Caron's Le Troisieme Homme. Although I may try Acqua di Parma or perhaps L'Eau d'Issey, never tried either.

My favourite is the Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Fico di Amalfi.

If you like fig fragrances this is a bit more subtle than Diptyque's Philosykos

I like the Blu arancia di Capri and at the opposite end of the scale I found some Intensa in my collection that I had gone off, but have now discovered I like again!

I also find that the arancia mixes well with the mandorlo di Sicilia, which is a bit too sweet for me on its own.

That’s a good question.

I was fancying buying one myself, but there are so many that I didn’t know where to start.

I sniffed a couple before lockdown in Selfridges, but there were too many to sample properly as I was in a bit of a rush to meet the wife. Then lockdown happened.

I would welcome any Acqua di Parma recommendations for one that smells more of a fresh tropical smell. That sort of thing.

They smell nice but I’d avoid, they’re expensive and there is no longevity whatsoever.

If you’re not bothered about longevity or silage, Ambra is the nicest smelling one in my opinion.

One splitter I can recommend is Palmolive on Basenotes forum. I’ve had quite a few splits from him over the years
