I hate brand-speak:

Myrtle goes on holiday and her hotel is unfinished, she gets food poisoning from the restaurant and zombies are wandering around unchecked. Myrtle makes a complaint to the Daily Mail who value her house at £650,000 and they post a sour-faced picture of her.

The holiday company, Schmuck Tours make the following statement:

Schmuck Tours regret that Myrtle had a holiday that fell below her expectations and will be reaching out to investigate further. Schmuck Tours are the UK's leading provided of pensioner holidays in Europe blah blah blah

People who say 'myself' when they mean 'me'. And by extension, people who say 'yourself' when they mean 'you'.
That reminded me of someone on another forum that always typed "moi" instead of "I" or "me". Their posts used to read something like "Moi went out this morning and saw someone, who to moi, looked a bit suspect".

It's not like it's any quicker to type! mad

My truth = my opinion. It's just an opinion. They think if they replace the word opinion for the word truth, it gives their opinion additional legitimacy. But as you rightly say, for those of us who can see thru this bks, it's usually just trying to get a lie accepted as fact.

The truth is based on the facts, and facts don't give a fk about your opinions, feelings or sensitivities.

We’d like to thank you for your patience for the delay in my response.
Iit appears our normal exemplary high standards briefly fell below your expectations on this rare occasion.
We have completed our company wide investigated and identified how this occurred, and have implemented a four stage re-training program, to ensure this can never happen again.
Please accept this voucher for 5% off another holiday booked with us, as long as it’s in July / December and is from our platinum packages. This is a goodwill gesture only please see small print.
